Sounds media is biased toward Catholic Helathy Services. Dr. Colantonio being used to tarnish the image of the reputed hospital in Nassau county. Mercy Medical has been serving more than 150 years to the community and the poorest of the poor section of the society.

It appears that Dr. Colantonio has an overwhelming hatred of this PA! One has to wonder why he is the only physician who has such troubles with this PA. Sounds like it is a grudge that Dr. Colantonio is taking to the limit. Once PA Shockey is found innocent of said charges, Dr. Colantonio should face a slander lawsuit.

This PA should file a slander suit against this doc. Where is the proof?

It certainly can't be that everyone else in the hosptial is running around covering each other's behind for what this P.A. allegedly did and a lack of proper supervision of the P.A., now could it?

Newsday may want to check Dr. Colontonio's record from Mid Island Hospital (I think it's called something else now). They may also want to check out this very litigious doc's court records.

Dr. Colantonio cleary has a hatred of physician assistants and a vendetta against this particular PA. Someone should ask Colantonio if he is on psychotropic medications. Newsday should investigate if Dr. Colantonio is respected in his hospital and how many law suits have been filed against him. If the charges against the PA are false, Dr Colantonio should be sued and fired. Its all about the money.

FACTS TO PONDER :

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.

(Calculation) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.

>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>

Now think about this: Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.(Yes, that's 80 million..)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(Calculation) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188

Statistics courtesy of FBI

>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>>

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.

We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

i spent 3 weeks in st.catherine's hospital last fall. 2 operations and one day in the ICU for kidney failure. I contracted MRSA in hospital and nearly died from the infection in my surgical wound. The nursing staff and peripheral services were sub standard which further added to my illness. I think Mercy Hospital is following St. Catherine's example of providing substandard care and then covering it up with secrets. p. s. I received my hospital records after a long dispute and found that they had been sanitized.

You think Newsday is really going to check out facts, if they have a chance to make a Catholic "anything" look bad? All you have to do is read Newsday and their bias jumps off the pages at you.
