Pharma wants money.

Universal, repetitive testing and designer drugs mean money.

Prevention doesn't mean money.

This is very true, and why I avoid contact with straight people as much as possible, ironically. As rarely as they are tested ... you never know.

Insurers already cover it since FDA has approved its use as pre-exposure prophylaxis since 2011. The drugmaker even rebates the copay.

Since everyone is required to have health insurance (or pay a fine), it's covered under Obamacare, Medicaid, Medicare and employer-based insurance. There's no reason why any non-monogamous man who has sex with men wouldn't be able to both get a prescription and not have cost be a barrier.
