Remember, security guards are police academy dropouts. And cops are dummies.

There are a lot of assumptions being made about this woman. She may have simply been determined to flee to another hospital afraid of a heart infection, if after only a month of chemo treatments, her daughter had already lost an arm at that hospital. Making the assumption this has a money saving venture is reaching and casting this woman in a negative light that she may not deserve.

Chances are very great that this kid is at another hospital or cancer center already. There is always the possibility that the woman didn't find their care acceptable and feared unless she fled with the girl, she wouldn't be able to get her transported to another hospital due to their financial situation.

Another thing that is a little off about the story. Lots of cancer patients have chemo ports that stay in place for years with monthly maintenance.

Since they are not paying and have no intentions of paying let them leave. When
americans ourselves can no longer afford healthcare, when we realize the world,
especially Mexico wants to live off the sweat off our back will we realize this but
by then it will be too late.
