Our Regis has lost 3 girls in the last month... one was fired and two quit.
The only reason most of the people are still there is becuase of the other stylist.. and the two that quit, that is the only reason they stayed on so long, they wanted to quit way before they actually did. they just couldnt take it anymore. I have been there for over 8yrs and I look forward to goin in and being with the other stylists.
I wish I could find another salon with the camaraderie we have there.
I'd would leave in a heart beat... regis doesnt give a rats ass about its employees.

I got fired recently from Regis after 16 in a half years because I wanted to move on because the supervisor named Irene Lucas called all the time and put me as a manager and all the other stylist down because we were down with our totals. Hello we are in a economic crisis in this country and people don't want to pay $28 or more for a haircut. I didn't set the prices but I heard it everyday from clients that that was crazy. She also didn't treat me like all the other managers in her area. She has forgotten how it is in this industry she hasn't been behind the chair for 24 years and has said people haven't changed in all that time I beg to differ. She also discussed 2 other firings with me after she fired me I was no longer an employee or the manager since I stepped down 2 days before and was also terminated what kind of professionalism is that. I will never work for Regis as long as she is there.

It's really that bad my old salon was just remodeled but everything that she or he said was true. My supervisor did all that and more. When she fired me for wanting to leave because of her she wouldn't let me or 2 others that were leaving too because of her she first fired me than told me she was going to fire the other 2. How professional is that. I had stepped down from manager and wasn't even employed there anymore because she terminated me 2 minutes before that. We are glad to be out but I know she is desperate for stylist because she hired an old employee that sued regis for slipping on hair that she should of swept up. Why would a company risk that if she does it again she will try to sue again but thats not my problem anymore thank God.

now i don't feel so bad when they cut my shifts to 2 a week because of not meeting their!!! goals i didn't quit like they wanted.so secret shoppers came to see us ha ha i was not being professional after years of working their no complaints. so i gave them what they wanted i quit! so glad i did cant believe i put up with the crap as long as i did.enjoy your monthly celebrations ill be with my family who cares about me.this company is ruthless!

this company made 2.4 billion in 2009
share it with the stylists that made you rich

I WORKED FOR SMARTSYLE FOR 7 AND 1/2 YEARS. I ALSO GAVE ALL I HAD TO THE COMPANY. BEEN UP THE CORPORATE LADDER AND BACK DOWN AS A MANAGER, THEN STEPED DOWN AS A MANAGER FOR NOT MEETING QUATOS. EVERYONE IS RIGHT, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND YOU ARE CLEARLY JUST A NUMBER AND UNAPPRECIATED WITHOUT A DOUBT. THEY ONLY GIVE PRAISE TO HOME OFFICE AND REGIONALS AND THE REST GET SHIT ON. FOR THOSE OUT THERE COMPLAINING ABOUT SUPERVISORS, YOU MUST HAVE NEVER BEEN ONE. THAT JOB IS ONLY FOR SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO PUT THERE JOB BEFORE THEIR PERSONAL LIFE, IN EVERY WAY. THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU EVER THINK BEING A SUPERVISOR IS A CAKE WALK, IT IS SO NOT, AND IS SO NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR ATTENTION.
FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET SOMEWHERE IN THIS BUSSINESS, LET ME LET YOU IN ON SOME ADVICE. THE ONLY WAY I WOULD RECOMEND SOMEONE TO EVER WORK FOR THEM, IS ONLY TO GET YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR, BUILD YOUR CLIENTELE AND GET OUT. IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR THAT REASON AND THAT REASON ALONE. DON'T STAY, THEY WILL FIND ANYTHING IF YOU DO WRONG TO LET YOU GO, FOR LITTLE REASON. ANYONE WHO WORKS FOR REGIS IS ALWAYS REPLACEABLE AND EXPENDABLE.
GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN, OR NEVER GET IN.

regis i have worked for 2 year became a manager in one year made my bonus for 11 month in a roll things seem to be good.Now new supervisor calls every other day wants girls to open and work alone for 3-4 hour until a new girl comes in so she can leave and her work alone a second girl trys to make a color appointment so she can come in which all the girl try so hard because the hours are like nothing the rug just got pulled and we have been doing so good makeing 1,000 or more over our goal they all see the number and can't believe we can't even go to the bathroom And at the end of the night make us close alone carrying there money to the bank hopeing we will make it safe i hope some one can do something there need to be rules watch the news people

I have been with Regis Corp.off and on for 7 years and i'm doing ok right now,but i was tortured at a certain Regis salon (Mia&Maxx)the supervisor was a total bitch,the stylists were lazy and complacent,whoever said Regis didn't care made an understatement,it's the equivilent of them strolling past you while you are tied to a train track and they watch as the train runs you over,they feel like if you don't like how they treat you,move on and they'll find someone else to work.I used to work for them back in the 90's they were a totally different company back then,they cared more and it seemed more exciting to go to work,so not the case anymore.

This company is very bad for the hair market.They do not pay and when they pay it is 1 manybe two time a mounth.Most people that work for them can not make on the money they pay.The salon are very drity and need to be shut down for the safety of the pubic.
They change the name thinking that may give thema new start but they are the worst corp. I have ever been involed with they are a greedy low life people, who do not care about the people for them or the person coming in for service.They are out of touch to big to have a good product, comimg out.they need to close all the door,s.Do the pubic a faver.

If you are going to post a comment, please use proper English so that you sound intelligent. So many posts that I have read sound ridiculous because of all of the spelling and grammar issues. If you want to get a point across, you have to start with the way your statement is written. You will get nowhere with your writing. I worked with the corporate office in the operations department, and if you want to be taken seriously, have a serious letter written.

I have been with regis over a year and so far all of your comments have been right,especialy about the area managers but im not sure is all the ceo fault, i dont think hes aware of what the manager do or dont do and the stylist rather talk about it instead of doing something like trying to get in touch with the ceo, as long as we allow them to intimidate us the will get away with everything

I can not say enough bad about this shitty company. I worked in the Corporate Office for almost 4 years. I was treated like shit the entire time by my manager and supervisor. The harder you work the more shit you take. Regis does not have an HR department because they don't want to hear anything bad about the company. The benefits are a joke and so is the management of this shithole. I processed expense reports and was the lead for the department. I saw so much coporate abuse it was unbelieveable. This is the most corrupt company I have ever worked for. Paul Finkelstein, Randy Pearce, and Norma Knudsen are some of the biggest scumbags I have ever had the displeasure to work for. This company is so high on themselves it is sickening. April Kinney, LuAnn Perkins are two of the worst human beings I have ever met in my life. There should be a serious audit/investigation on how company funds are used within this company by the executives. I witnessed it first hand on the expense reports but basically was told to turn a blind eye to it. Paul Finkelsteins wife uses company funds to send flowers to her friends while the rest of the employees get paid jack shit! Aweful company managed by complete jackasses!

Get over yourself. It's quite obvious you work for the Regis Corp. So sad you're emphasis is on the grammar and not the meaning of the words. The smart ones that can afford to leave, do just that. The unfortunate ones that need this suck a$$ job have to stay and suffer. Those are the people Regis prays on. With all the coupons and discounts how on earth are there high expectations to "cover commission". That to me is oxymoronic. Really Regis, who is running your company?! Morons. It took me 4 months being manager at a SmartStyle to realize they do not care about the people running the salons.
