Mind you......I am not laughing at you....I am wondering how this other poster with the handle of "wouldnt u like to know" from Toledo, OH, is now feeling about having to accept the good with the bad.
All this nonsense is just abusing the legal bankruptcy court system. One of the many examples why this country is in such a mess.
A year ago, T/S was looking at a $23M shortfall.....so we got passed off. Now, all of a sudden, Regis thinks we are worth $45M? No way. And they all get their merry tax write-offs.
Ohhh...it gets better! I get into the salon this a.m. and the towel service refuses to give us towels because we filed bankruptcy. Apparently T/S is 3 months behind on payments! We called our Mgr. She asked if we told our Reg. Because she's on vacation til tomorrow. We called our Reg. Mgr. And she has the nerve to tell us to stop freaking out, she's known about the towels since Friday!!?? You could have MENTIONED that to us. So, in a salon with no towels...how do I work again?? HAHAHAHA!

they cannot even pay the towel service? OMG!!! We all had a washer and dryer in the salon. Will be interesting when the Reg Manager's paycheck bounces.......I just bet she will be freaking out.

BTW, reported today that P&G, L'oreal and Simon Properties have filed papers in court because they do not agree with the BK proceedings -- they feel that if Regis backs up this "entity" behind Premier, creditors will not see their money....PLUS....they do not feel enough will have been alloted for other interested parties to get a bid together. This is going to get real ugly.

Me thinks that Regis and Primier were / are in cahoots about this whole business......especially since Regis was allowed a $56M tax write-off over a two year time span......and the second year time limit is just before T/S goes up on the bankruptcy auction block. They both knew what they were doing......nothing illegal, oh no......unfortunately what is being done seems to be A-OK with our government. Immoral and unethical....now that is a different story. Brian Luborsky knew exactly what was going down.....

Well apparently the joke's on Regis and Premier now! P & G and L'oreal, along with other "unsecured creditors" are opposing the sale to Regis. They're applealing the deadline for the auction so they can get in on it as well. Their argument being that allowing Regis and Brian Luborsky to be the sole bodders would "chill" the process of a fair competitive auction. So now we have to keep our eyes open, people!!! If the court rules in favor of extending the deadline, we may be signing more "employee policies and agreements" and "non-compete contracts" for P&G or L'oreal!!!

And as for us, the heart and soul of the company, we're just pawns in a digusting chess game; completly disposible; over worked, over stressed and under appreciated! God bless this joke of a system called capitalism!

I managed 3 different Trade Secrets in a 2 year span (one of them closing down). I was there with Regis and then with Premier. Premier is a piece of s*** along with Regis because although it was great with Regis, they had to definitely be in cahoots with Premier on this whole thing. I quit this April, I could not keep running a business under false pretenses anymore; being limited to only hiring in anyone willing to work 10 hours at minimum wage (name someone who is willing to do that long term:hence high turnover rate), only using $40 a month to run the business (I don't think that even covered toilet paper for the entire month), constantly having no product on the shelves (therefore losing lots of loyal customers) and no products for my poor stylists (they had to buy a lot of their own stuff most of the time so not only are they getting minimum wage, they have to buy their product on top of that!), practically giving away services!!!! that no self dignified stylist should have to do, high turnover rate=me at the store ALL THE TIME due to no employees and still asked to not make overtime!! IMPOSSIBLE!!!!etc, etc, etc!!!!! Did I mention I only got paid $9/hr and that we were in the middle of a raise freeze?! Granted, I know all you stylists were having to bear with minimum wage!!! All in all worst job experience of my life with Premier and I thank god every day I got the hell out of there. Good riddance and RIP Trade Secret, I hope you never live again!

I was a manager with TS for 3 years and suddenly I get a call in the evening telling me that my position had been eliminated effective immediately!! Now the store is being run by...ummm...let see no one!!The BA are calling around the night before to see who can work the next day. I received a notice that the lease had not been paid and now according to the BA and Stylist they are getting calls about the power bill and the phone bill.
We had the same issues as most everyone else, empty shelves, stylist buying their own supplies, me buying store supplies because the American Express card didn't work and neither did my regional or area supervisor.
I like Shampoo Lady thought that Premier could turn the store around only to see it run into the ground. I would have loved to have bought the store as a franchise from Premier, now the rep is destroyed.
I hope that Redken stands up and the court doesn't allow them to side step their responsibilities, They knew last year they were in trouble and no one can tell me different.
I'm sorry that I don't have any warm fuzzy feelings for Premier. I'm sorry for all the employee that still work for them, but I hope they go down in a flaming pile of poo. Most everyone that worked in the stores put up with more that they should have from a company and all they did was send a lousy tin of cookies.
Brian: you should have kept the cookies and paid your bills!

Oh, this was all in their grand plan. All the documents & timing points to it. Here's hoping the creditors filing to stop the bids get their chance. This company shouldn't be allowed to act this way.

I was the Manager of a Trade Secret for the past year. It was a complete joke. However, I did manage to totally stock up our store when the inventory system was down. We were allowed to order in all the product that we wanted. I had that store totally stocked. My customers loved me. When I finally resigned, the store fell apart. Does anyone know for sure which stores are closing? It looks as if the store I ran is still up and running. I would love to see if go belly up and am in fact looking forward to that day. The insurance was a complete joke! I was promised insurance and even enrolled in the plan. The week before it was to be taken out of my payroll, I received a call from both corporate and the insurance people telling me there was no coverage in my area. I was offered some pay so much plan. I laughed at that. The insurance would have cost me something like $500.00 per paycheck for just me alone. What a joke! Anyway, the company sucked. I was told my many that it was much better when Regis had it. They should have let it die.

Oh, but Miss Bigred!!! Remember we're all part of a team, and sometimes we all have to take one for the team!!! You are not being a team player!!! We're all on the same boat....

That enough cliches for you, or would you like to hear some more? I can assure you Mr. Luborsky and his band of minions can think of many more to tell you. LOL I'm sorry you're having to go through that. FYI, American Express got whiff of the Chp 11 filing and froze all of our accounts. No one's AMEX card is working. Supervisor's were mailed manual cheques to pay for their travel expenses, as for managers, well...... Let's just say I'm $25 in the hole because no one bothered to tell us our cards weren't working and I went happy go lucky making copies at Kinko's.....

just wanted to say that place never had products, low on everything the customer wanted, part of the problem with us going bankrupt was professional products being sold at target, cvs, walgreens ,,,ect.. people can shop anywhere for it now, what happened to professional products being sold at salons only,,,, and the company put money in every store for ipod's , which the music was not updated, lot of customer complaints about the music,,,, had to hear same music over, and over, and over,,,,,,hopefully they rebuild tradesecret soon cause if not it's gonna fall to the ground,,, gotta have product to have sells,,,,,

wow she isn't even in payroll. Just because she doesn't have an answer doesn't mean she doesn't know. You must have no respect or understanding for what she really does. She does everything she can for her stores. And what are you doing besides writing nasty things about people on here. Shouldn't you be working instead of typing useless information about things you know nothing about. if your so miserable then just quit.

I manage a top 150 store. My location is under review pending rent negotiations. Premier is still negotiating the lease. It's been nearly 2 months. At least this is what I'm being told.
A month ago I had a contractor come in and demand pyment. My store as busy at the time. I'm lucky he didn't cause a sceen. I keep getting collections calls as well. I swear I'm going to start giving out Brian's phone number.
The salon supplies are nonexisitent. My AS spent personal money just to keep the district in bleach, foil and gloves. That's not right.
Now my AS is telling me that on the confrence call today Premier hopes to be out of Chapter 11 by the end of Sept. Ha!
TS isn't going to survive past Christmas.

Yesterday I received the bankruptcy paperwork and I was illegally terminated 16 months ago. Y'all can see prior post from me at the beginning of this forum.
I filed suit with the EEOC right after I was fired. I had one call from the EEOC about a month ago and she never called back....hmm I wonder why?
I am now self employed but I still want some sort of compensation, the letter DID advise me to get an attorney...why?
