Wow! I have been reading over these comments and am rather discusted! Not for the same reason most of u are but because of the pure b### s###. Iam currently on food stamps because I have hit a hard spot in my life not because I'm out to milk the system. 50 dollars a year isn't going to buy me food for my family however if 50 dollars a year can allow me to buy in bulk and provide better for my family then I plan to take full advantage of it! This just goes to show how much ignorance there is in the world.

Wow, just reading all the negative comments about this post is exhausting. Who are you to judge? A discount warehouse now accepts food stamps, why try and pick this apart? Are you all saying that anyone receiving food stamps doesn't have the right to spend the green they do have any way they please? If it saves them money in the long run, you must ask yourself who's the more wiser.

If a person can afford a Cosco card they do not need to be on food stamps. What a bunch of crap. These are the same people who can also afford a cell phone and milk the system for everything they can get. They keep popping the kids out because they are too stupid to use birth control. Probably drive a brand new SUV to be able to transport all the bulk goods.
I am from Hemet. I don't live there anymore but I receive foodstamps. It is the only way I have been able to stay in school I am getting my teaching credential right now. I have cell phone because I have a kid and it is required at preschool that they can get a hold of me at all times. Foodstamps generally don't cover all of you groceries for the month. Some people only get $50 or so, other families get much more. It depends on your income. If you are already contributing $50 a month to your own groceries then buying the costco card could be worth it because it could save you a lot in the end. Have you never been down on your luck? How dare you generalize about people receiving foodstamps. Do your research first next time

I just recently got food stamps for the first time. I have 4 teenage boys. They eat a lot! I don't have a whole lot in food stamps. I usually end up buying in bulk anyways, so This will save me some money and time. I was a regular shopper at costco before I lost my job. I bet you won't even know I have an ebt card. They look like credit cards. I do not drive an suv. I drive a minivan that is falling apart. And the only reason I have a cell phone, is so my children can reach me and it is cheaper than a land line. You people need to quit judging and wake up to reality.

Pretty ignorant. Being on food stamps does not mean you are broke and have no money. I think for many people who cannot find a job that pays enough they still receive assistance. If they get fifty dollars they should not be on food stamps? Wow.
