Have any of you heard if Supervalu is planning on buying stores in Colorado ? Where is your Distrubution center located ?
the DFW div is in the process of restructuring too. some SSC emps were let go and some left after being offered demotions...grab a life jacket IT'S GOING DOWN!
You you know who besides Clem Washington, Cathy Fields and Alvino Perez were on the chopping block?
a life jack is not going to save us. they're throwing us an anchor. |
CW is gone, CF is still on the list dont know about alvino. its sad to see good people go and POS #!s kissers keep their jobs. if it looks like racism, and smells like the good ol' boy network then it probably is!

With the latest shake up in the DFW Div, does anyone know if any store closures are in the works after the end of this quarter?
Do you work for Albertsons? Do you know about any closings in Garland,Tx? |
Does anyone know where Clem Washington went? He seemed like such an asset to Albertsons.

BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons LLC here said Friday it is merging two of its divisions to increase efficiencies. Under the merger plan, 35 of the 37 stores in the Rocky Mountain division, based in Aurora, Colo., will join the 81 stores in the Southwest division, based in Phoenix, in a new 116-store Southwest division based in Phoenix. Two stores in the former Rocky Mountain division — in Scottsbluff, Neb., and Rapid City, S.D.— are being sold to Nash Finch Co., Minneapolis, "due to their remote location in relation to [the company's] core markets in Colorado," the company said. Bob Colgrove, president of the existing Southwest division, will head the new enlarged division, while Shane Dorcheus, former vice president of the Rocky Mountain division who had been running that division, will become vice president, operations, in the new Southwest division. The company said the 35 remaining stores in the former Rocky Mountain division will continue to be supplied from the company's Denver distribution center, while the other 81 stores will continue to be serviced out of Phoenix |

It was slipped at a meeting that "when we merge we will get new uniforms" and then there was an attemped cover up. That is all I heard about. I have known from day 1 of the sale that this would be coming.
Cerberus came in because Supervalu didn't have the money to buy the whole thing. They also wanted them to do the closings so they wouldn't look bad. Its coming this summer so be ready. |

bob colgrove got a 2 million dollar bonus for the chopping up..that sliped also in denver on friday

Well I'm sure glad that the top dogs are getting fatter ! Cerberus needs to get some balls and fess up. It will be two years this June since buyout. This is a 16 week quarter ending middle June. Next quarter will be only 11 weeks ? No data on the following quarter as of now, so this is the end.
Any more news Rick from Springs , let us know ! |
I have been hearing this is the end for six years now! I find it hard to believe anything you hear or read anymore. I'm not even sure Cerberus knows when or if they are going to unload this company. All the news posted here is appreciated but in the end it appears most everything you see is really just more rumors.

Hell everyone, I have but one question. Do you really think that the LLC stores in TX will last through the Summer? In WY, SUV has already taken over the LLC stores, something which most people said would never happen. What about CO? |

Yea I believe that SUV will take over...but do they keep the Albertsons people???
Clem Washington went to CVS Pharmacy as DM....

I think they will keep most of the Albertsons people at store level. The real question for Texas is do they keep the outlying stores and when does this all happen. I hope sooner rather than later but who really knows.
