Keep an eye on Kasich's bank account Dispatch, Fox 28, or preferably a credible news organization.

Isn't 200 million dollars in tax revenue enough for this greedy Governor ? why should they pay 33% taxes on what we win if and when we do win ? Isn't it a win / win solution to get people to work by finishing these casinos and having the people there to play? Must we quibble and be greedy to the point where these avenues of revenue will pull out and go somewhere else!!!!! Enough Kasich stop trying to rip these people who are willing to come here in the first place off take the money and run fix some roads and bridges in this state help the school system out.
wow....even when he does something to benefit ohio you dickwipes can't give him some credit. funny, if strickland or mickey mouse coleman had pulled this stunt, you would have been RAVING about how wonderful it was and how it was going to be the SALVATION of ohio!

Turn off Fox News!!!
yeah einstein, it actually does since more businesses are willing to come here and DO business. it's sorta like 2 different bakeries, located next door to one another. one sells a loaf of bread for $2.50 and the other decides to offer the SAME loaf of bread for $2.00.(the bread COSTS about 30 cents to make and sell). the one selling it for $2.50 sells 100 loaves, the one selling for $2.00 sells 300 loaves. the $2.50 bakery makes $220 in PROFIT. the one selling for $2.00 makes $510 PROFIT. see how it works??? would you rather make $220 or $510??

I wonder if the rest of the businesses here will now file suit on their CAT if the casinos are EXEMPTED?

"help the school system out" == "give them more money"

The LAST thing our schools need is more money.

Public Education -- the only business ever that consistently fails to deliver yet is able to cajole more money out of the taxpayers in order to "solve the problem".

It is no wonder we are so scr*wed up.

Ever ask yourself why private school tuition is considerably less than what tax payers spend on public school education per pupil?

I hear people saying " the casinos will ruin alot of people. They will gamble away their lives now". I know people who go to Indiana to gamble every single weekend. Yes, they are slowly giving away everything they ever worked for. I say if their that stupid let em do it right here in Ohio. This state may as well get the taxes as any other. It's not the casino's fault people can't show some self-control. Stores sell alcohol, and I have never heard anyone say,"that store caused him to be an alcoholic".

I'm hoping maybe some of those police officers that Kasich referred to as "idiots" will do a little moonlighting to see what's REALLY going on.

I have nothing against squeezing deals from the casinos that give more money for the state. However, to do it after an agreement is already in effect does boil down to extortion. I'm afraid that companies considering moving to Ohio will now be more leery as such actions as this show that we cannot keep our word.
And, I would feel a lot better about this if we had a governor who could be trusted to use this in a way that would benefit all Ohioans, not just the big money dilberts with whom he hangs around. We just cannot trust him to do the right thing with this additional money by restoring some of the money that he has cut from education and cuts that he has made to some very worthwhile programs.

Good Job Governor. When you take the dems & unions out of the equation then sometimes the interests of the taxpayers are protected.
