I am a Native American and it is pretty offensive to me that people are using language such as "scalping" and "smokum peace pipe." What this man has done is wrong and should be punished. His heritage should not be an issue.

It is more than joking when you are talking about a race of people in a negative manner. The issue at hand is the crime this man committed to innocent people. It is not a joke to them.

It seems to me that Ava and some nobody, which is exactley the right name for you, have a problem. Perhaps jealousy might be the best word. In any case it is offensive to use these terms just because the person is Native American. Caucasians have been committing these types of crimes since colonization. Why would this article provoke such comments. I am sure that if the terms, those crackers, foreigners, honkys, yankees, hillbillies, white trash, settelers, etc were used when reporting the many crimes committed by white collar workers you people would be very offended wouldn't you. However; any time there is a story that involves my people it is front page news. I guess you don't remeber Enron, or the incident in R.I. where many lost all their savings to Joe Mollaccone. I could go on all day but frankley you aren't worth my time.
