Fine $800K..yawn

Well, guess the $1.6M the addicts lost was a good rate of return.

That said, I have no issue with gambling. But the fault, if any, lies with the State of Illinois. If gambling addiction is a problem all they need to do is ban gambling in Illinois.

I hope this fine makes everyone feel better though.

Who gets the $800K and what are they going to spend it on? Gambling addiction problems?

No one wants an eighty five year old president with one foot in the grave either. Especially one who will carry on Bushes political agenda.

Give the money to Todd Stroger. He needs to hire another spokesman because 13 aren't enough.

Illinois has a gaming commission that at least pretends to be interested in protecting the public. Had this violation occurred in Nevada, where casinos control all levels of government, the idea of a penalty have been laughed at. Folks in Illinois do not have a monopoly on corrupt government officials. See:

Oh burn, Hollywood got nailed. This is something that is sort of a catch 22 for a business. The marketing department sends out literally thousands upon thousands of mailers. The mailers are completely automatic and if a person registers a second account (i.e. the person moves so a clerk just enters their name again) then if that person gets banned only one name (probably the old one) gets removed and the other stays getting the auto mailer. Not to say that all of these are that case, but it happens. Some of them may be getting the next month's mailer right after they ban themselves and the mail has been sent already. Then of course most of this number is just laziness on somebody's part and not taking their name off the mailing list. Still though, if you were to get a flyer in the mail and you are banned, it is not an invitation to come back. I can get in a fight at a restaurant like Steak 'n Shake and get banned, but I'll still get coupons every few weeks.

How can I get reinstated to gamble on riverboats in Illinois. I banned myself more than 5 years ago because I was loosing something terrible. I know I don't have a problem because I haven't gambled since. I would like to go back and get some of my money. What do I need to do?
