Sounds like Laura may have pulled a fast one on some of these people claiming to own any of these homes and setting up a lease option with them...before actually purchasing the home herself if she ever intended to do so...which puts the home in foreclosure if the original owner can't sell it, which thus boots out any tenants living/renting it.

A quick title check on 167 Chapin Terrace should indicate who really owns the property.

As for Trott, he may be a just victim as well when the buyer backed out...but it happens, so you can't promise anything until that contract is signed.

Always double check on lease option agreements to make sure things line up...blindly signing on the dotted line gives up any rights or concerns you may have after the fact.

sorry to hear about Ms Martinez' troubles but I didnt see that she did a leg work. First time homebuyer can be very tricky and the way the economy is buyers should take time to investigate the sale representive, the property and the bank. There are alot of thieves out there claiming to be good people and what they're is waiting to catch inocent inexperienced people to rob them.

Yes Martinez was scammed. I really doubt there was a short sale in place. The shortsale would have to be agreed to by the former owner and the lien holders. Litton would have the records and or the negotiations. Did anyone check?
Trott was not a victim - he is a scammer. His name and Laura Lacrosse name appears on a card claiming to be Foreclosure Prevention experts. The cards are blantly found in the front foyer of Dieter's Real Estate Office.
Ultimately, Trott and Laura should have the money in escrow and should be returning the money. I would be asking for the money....who has the money. His real estate license is held by Martin Dieter and Dieter is responsible for their actions. Someone should be asking Dieter to make good on the money.
Attorney General is one avenue but I would be calling the local board of Realtors and filing a grievance for fraud and then making a call to the Mass Division of Licensing...I think someone needs to be digging deeper and finding the other 57 victims Laura claims to be helping...$5000 here and there and collecting rents can be a very lucrative business....

Some facts are a little off. Ms. Martinez was not given 14 days by the loan company to move out. They have offered her financial asistance to help with her move should she not be able to purchase the house. They are giving her time to try and locate a mortgage as well. Further Laura is NOT a realtor. She had no legal right to be signing contracts or taking money for real estate transactions. Trott is a realtor and he and his broker, Martin Dieter are responsible under real estate law for the money owed back to Ms. Martinez. Filing a grievance with the local board of realtors will start that process rolling. In addition, there were other funds being taken from both Ms. Martinez and a second woman I know on a monthly basis under the guise of fees for services that were not being rendered. I would urge anyone who has been impacted by these two people to pursue any and all means of recovery. It is this type of behavior that has caused much of the trouble in the real estate market today.

Laura LaCrosse and her accomplice should have to pay back everyone of these people in full plus the interest from the "escrow" accounts she was supposedly putting the money into. And they both should go to jail for a very long time. The justice system needs to protect these people. We need to show Laura that stealing money from people and reaking havoc on their lives is not helping them!

This interview was processed the first time that i heard about the home being foreclosed and was also taped when the offer of moving within 14 days was up in the air.Since then yes there is an agreement between the bank and myself. Thank you Carol!!!

I also have been scammed by Laura Lacrosse & Brian Trott. They along with Marty's real estate are guilty. I can not wait until I see them in court I will have a front row seat right along with Valerie. What people may not understand is that these people prey upon those of us who have found ourselves in a very unfortunate place. Just to be clear, I have a job a very good one with a very good income. After a divorce and a drop in income I was forced to sign a mortgage that was out of my range (The mortgage company is also being investigated but the Attorney Generals office) I worked 7 days a week, days and evenings to try and keep up. I was unable to keep up the pace that was needed. The house was on the market for 6 months without a nibble, but in this market that seems to be the norm.

All I wanted was a place to call home that was safe for my children. This group of nitwits were the only people that had a solution. I would not have my home foreclosed on, they would buy it in a short sale, and move me into another home that they had purchased on a short sale. I would rent this house for 6 months to a year with all of my rent minus taxes & insurance going into an escrow account to go towards the purchase price of the home . They would even match what was in the escrow account at the time of closing. They told me I had to sign up with a "Credit restoration company" in Longmeadow run by a man Kevin O'Donnell.

Long story short my home was foreclosed on and I didn't know until 2 weeks later. The day before I found out about the foreclosure and that I had 2 weeks to vacate my home I spoke to Laura and she told me that I was all set to move into the new house on 4/1/08. My home had been foreclosed on for 2 weeks and she knew it!!! as did Brian and Marty. They are all blaming each other and throwing each other under the wheels of the bus.

Brian is now working for another Co. in CT. on his staff Bio page he is labeled as a "Foreclosure specialists" What a joke.

To Laura Lacrosse: your life must be falling apart and I'm sure that it is taking it's toll on your children what a shame. When someone comes along and takes advantage of you while you are down then and only then will you come close to knowing what my children and I feel right now. I look forward to seeing you in court.

To Brian Trott & wife: your both trash always were always will be. I will do everything in my power to make sure that you both get what you deserve, you messed with the wrong woman. I look forward to seeing you in court.

To Marty Dieter: There are now guarantees in this process remember that when you are working on your plea bargain. You have a nice day now, you hear. See you in court too.

To Kevin O'Donnell: I want my money back. I wrote those checks to you. You are responsible. You will pay me back. See you in court

Hey scammed in Chicopee, I wish I could talk with you. I am kinda on the other side of being scammed, but Laura Lacrosse has made my life misserable and is trying to distroy me and my family even more. I am from Chicopee also. You must know her well because her lifestyle is taking a toll on her kids, have seen this first hand. She is a crack head and pulls scam after scam, and I am not just talking about real estate. Isn't it funny that her mother who is probably a nice lady is always on her last will and testament. O well we go to court in July.

I'm so sorry to hear that you and your family are another victim of Laura and her merry thieves I would love to talk to you and any other victims out there. I will be leaving my contact info with the Attorney Generals office to be given to anyone who has filed a written complaint against these people. We really are the only ones that understand what has been done to us and how it has effected our family's. I think that we all need to stick together.
