According to most of the staff who work at Nestlé, the retro-rewind editions of Baby Ruth products will feature multiple "Major League Baseball" players in their grand comeback advertisements, and the retro-rewind editions of Butterfinger products will feature characters from "The Simpsons" in their grand comeback advertisements.
The 1-minute, 30-second "Baby Ruth: Retro Rewind Edition" commercial features an archive footage of multiple "Major League Baseball" players playing ball game with the "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" music heard at 30 seconds first, and with an advertisement with the announcer being heard at the end.
The 1-minute, 20-second "Butterfinger: Retro Rewind Edition" commercial was being based on the opening sequence of "The Simpsons" (Seasons 2-20), featuring the same appearance of Bart's chalkboard gag as in "Half-Decent Proposal" (The Simpsons, episode #279), Lisa playing the saxophone to the tune of "The Simpsons" main title theme music, and the whole Simpson family (Bart, Homer, Lisa, Marge & Maggie) run to the couch and watch TV. At the end of the commercial, an advertisement with the announcer being heard replaces the "Created by: Matt Groening" and "Developed by: James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, and Sam Simon" credits.
Both of them will be Nestlé's longest-running commercials finally appearing on television and movie theatres for 7 years (2014-2021), and as of 2014, the "retro-rewind editions" of multiple Baby Ruth and Butterfinger products will be available in stores with "Major League Baseball" and "The Simpsons" artworks being respectively featured.
