MALDI usefulness if tied directly to a sound database and that for most clinical isolates is pretty sound. However, Staph aureus is hardly obscure - either by recogniton in initial isolation or intherpuetic response that usually is initated before id confirmation the micro lab.

This is a bit of hype.Futheris is a bitof a lie on the costs as thr ry sustantial initial equipment cost is ignored in favor of imagined rationalize application, most of which will not bring any dscernable benefit v. traditional method.
