Ukiah hosts foreclosure workshop

The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, working with the Mendocino/Lake Housing Foreclosure Prevention Coalition, is hosting a free Community Housing Forum on Saturday, November 21 in Mendocino and Lake counties.

I am glad that the county is finally addressing this problem. I 6 mos ago saw that it was inevidible that I would be loosing my house due to unexpected health costs, declining property values and loss of employment. My bank was of no help....until I call Mike Thompson's office in Washington D.C. did I get referred to the Federal Housing Authority. I learned that you needed to say "Loan Modification" program in order to work with the lender. Well, it's now 6 mos, and still clueless on how to keep the property. I WAS A MIDDLE CLASS WORKING CITIZEN, working continuously in the Health Care Field for over 30 years....it can happen to any one of us. My future, retirement, health has been depleted in a blink of an eye. I hope this workshop helps anyone who's home was bought out through the bank of HSBC. They are not helping me.
