How shocking and heart breaking. To take such a young promising life. When all he wanted to do in life was protect and serve. Lord help his family, Cherly and Steve manage this pain and come out the other side with with their wonderful memories and pride for him strong. Many people all around will be with you in spirit as you go threw this.

May you rest in peace, what a sad tragic story. Your family is in my prayers, I hope they find comfort in knowin how dedicated you were to helping fellow Americans.
My prayers also go out to a dear friend who was at the seen, tried to help and will forever be scarred by what she had to see :(

I just saw the pics on the TU website. I wonder how fast this guy was moving? Those cruisers are pretty beefy, but he took out some poles with a lot of damage. Just a nudge would have been enough to cause that fatal accident.

As a soldier currently serving in Iraq, I wonder how many people truly appreciate what this young man has done in his abbreviated life. He volunteered to serve his country at a time of need, seperate himself from all that we take for granted by living in the U.S. and endure the hardships of two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He then came home and wanted to serve the people of his home state and died doing so. I hope his family receives some comfort knowing they raised a fine young man and remembering all that he accomplished.

Cops do speed a lot because they think they can get away with it. No emergency no speeding. Cops need to respect our safty and the law. He most likely did not need to pass that car but wanted to break a law he swore to uphold.

Putting truth aside that some officers do take advantage of their ability to speed, keep your ignorant comments to yourself. How would you feel if someone you knew was in this situation and some pompous jack*** makes a comment like that. I'm sure no one wants to read something like that.

Jim,

I know. You see all the negative judgements I got on my first post? People have to realize that there are others like me who are more objective about things. Yes, he died. Yes, it probably was a move he did that was not needed. The only witness left is the other driver. I'm sure his passing move was not for an emergency reason, since there's no statements of lights & sirens. I'm not cold and heartles, I just say "what a waste of a life".

And I see from the pics on the TU website that the road has a DOUBLE SOLID lane marking. Does that NOT indicate NO PASSING due to safety concerns?

From the looks of that car, he wasn't doing 50. Feel sorry for the family though.

Don't take negative posts to heart. Everybody has their own opinions. I do feel for the family, send them my prayer.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Pisces

Someone is in a very boisterous mood today, and you may want to make yourself scarce after a short spell in their company. Their idea of a joke may be your idea of extreme rudeness, or they could take pleasure in being argumentative just for the sake of it. Don't let this person wind you up or you'll go off pop through sheer tension.
