Last year as an AA employee I received a 25 Year Service Certificate signed by this guy and I had no other choice than to trash it along with the other things given to me two weeks later by a mere supervisor.
Is this a way to recognize someone who worked his butt off, given a 32% pay cut and while at his job the day the award was given ignored?

Let's hope this is the end of the era of the "OLD" American and that Doug Parker represents the NEW American and will bring back the premium status to the airline. Accordingly, I pray that this also means for the passengers like myself, better inflight service, quality of product, including food/beverage/airplanes and interior product to match those of Asian and Middle Eastern carriers. This would be the first USA carrier to do so.

In line with that, it also means creating a harmonious team of great employees that used to be so proud to wear any American Airlines uniform from ground staff/ticket agent/flight attendant/pilot. I hope he can rally the "troops" with trust, decent contracts, negotiations, good relations, earnest pay increases, and boost morale. In turn, they will assist with the image of the "old" American where employees where proud to say "I work for American Airlines".....

the American public will not be will to pay what it cost now to have newer airplanes upgraded seats and the meals and extras on each and every flight. We are Walmart thinkers cheap first.

It is a SAD day when ANY airline management executive leaves. I am SO sad. These men and a few women work VERY hard to fill the gaps in the books and make operations work day to day. I have been a part of the day to day operations debates in the executive mens room. Via my oral and ANAL talents I have brought our Delta management executives to new plateaus! Praise Jesus!
