any one know what david hall left or why he was asked to leave rock?
what is he doing these days? |
|
David Hall didn't leave, he was fired. He was giving information to other mortgage co. All David Hall was at Rock Financial was a glorified banker who was rude to everyone that worked with him. His brother Jason Hall was the star of the two however no one knows about him. Also, if anyone is interested, if you dig deep enough you will find out all the lawsuits and settelments that quicken/rock have been in, in the last year. Also, if you ever have seen the movie 'the boiler room' you'll know that is what is happening in their offices. Sexual, verbal, and physical abuse. |

I think they suck for moving to the ghetto!
What a low-blow move to the community that helped them grow into what they now are. They got suckered in by the 200+ million in tax payer dollars footing the bill for the move to downtown Detroit, but it will come back to haunt them. Who wants to commute to that crap hole of a city. We will see Quicken go from being a top 100 company to work for, to the opposite end of the spectrum. I financed then refinanced my house using Quicken, I can promise you that I will not drive into Detroit to sign any mortgage agreements, much less anything else for this sell out company. Screw Quicken and screw Detroit! |
|
Your Absolutely right. Dig deep and research, you will find out about a class action law suite against them for unpaid wages, the company has a stack of complaints with the EEOC that reads like a novel, not to mention the under the table tax breaks the company is getting for moving to another city. If you peel back the onion , you will find the real story behind quicken loans and not what they want you to believe. |

Hey ---- you! Whatever Livonia, MI. Quicken loans may not be a great company but Detroit is a great city. Detroit is one of the most historical cities in the nation. By the way ass hole Livonia is less then 15 minutes away from Detroit and its a ton of PWT, and im pretty sure you are the leader of the gang.

Hey poser "Detroit Born" if you lived here now you would know what a shit hole it is. Yahoo just rated Detroit as the worst city to live in, based mostly on crime and unemployment. Quicken deserves to move downtown and suffer with low retention of key talent and fight high turnover. That company will fail in three years. So please leave CA and move back, we need your tax dollars.

I had the opportunity to work at Rock Financial for most of the calendar year 1997. The company was still relatively small and their central preoccupation at the time was to catch their chief rival, Standard Federal Bank in the total number of mortgages funded. I left in early November that year taking a position as a mortgage banker at a competing bank and at that time, they had still had not closed the gap. The Rock Financial/Quicken Loans we know now is absolutely nothing like the company I knew back then. It was a competitive and enterprising environment. Dare I say “fun”? Their ideas about how to do business were innovative and surprisingly successful. However as they grew, things changed. They were sold, after what I’m sure was an offer only a fool would refuse (making their little Napoleon a millionaire overnight) and then subsequently re-purchased, rehashed, reformulated and regurgitated. One thing has remained as constant as the northern star throughout all of their iterations – David Hall. He is the cockroach of the mortgage lending industry; infallible and seemingly indestructible in the face of enormous change and tremendous upheaval. When I was first introduced to David Hall he had the demeanor of a badger. Irritable, contemptible and lacking any interest in anything or anyone who did not contribute to his bottom line. He acted with impunity. He strutted about the offices (in Bingham Farms) like a rooster on patrol. It was evident that he was a corporate darling and one of the few fair-haired boys that made Danny boy a lot of money. His actions were irrefutable and on more than one occasion he left his poor processor (we’ll call her D.) in tears. His partner at that time was a living saint for putting up with his nonsense (we’ll refer to her as S.) His brother Jason, with whom I trained, was an ancillary part of the team Hall machine. He had very little clout at the time and little say in any of the decisions. He was a cocky kid, fresh out of school and an enduring resident of his older brother’s shadow. He had great respect for his brother and in particular, his brother’s talent in golf. It was often mentioned during our three week long training session that David was trying to qualify for the US Open that summer. Eeessh! Part of the training process for new recruits at that time was to “trail” what were considered senior or qualified “successful” mortgage bankers. The idea was that the observation, in a very up close and personal manner, of the daily routine of someone deemed observable would lead to an emulation of said habits or practices and the hopeful incorporation into ones own repertoire. That week with David Hall was a real eye opener. His lack of respect for anyone, even at a baser level, was appalling. I felt uncomfortable and intrusive and availed myself of any opportunity to slip out of “trail mode” and do my own thing during that week. His partner, S, was very sweet and tried to be helpful but she was distracted ad nauseum by the inner conflicts of team Hall. Ultimately, I’m sure David was grateful I made myself scare. After my training I embarked on a 6-month kick at the can in the Rock Financial’s conventional loan division. It was an unmitigated failure due to circumstances beyond my control and not worth a breath now. Although it might be worth mentioning and certainly defensible that my processor was Methuselah’s mother. I’m sure that David Hall’s dismissal had something or everything to do with money because it is the glue that binds all of them at Rock Financial into one ugly band of mercenary asshats!! Never were the words –“time wounds all heels” ever more apropos.

Hey moron....your right Livonia is 25 minutes from downtown Detroit, good for you! You think Detroit is a good city??? What the hell cave do you live in dumb ass, Detroit is one of the most Dangerous, dirtiest, poor, run down pieces of crap ghetto thug ridden places in the US, and because the animals that live there are too stupid to get jobs or transportation, they pretty much will stay put. What kills the suburbs of Detroit is the bleed overs that figure out how to get across the city line, and spew their crap into the "nice" neighborhoods that had to be re-created when the original residents of Detroit were chased out by the low-life's that currently reside there. If the Detroit thugs and others who venture into the burbs would just figure out that no one wants them around everything would be fine. They wanted the city and took it over, now they sponged up every resource and now can barely sustain, and expect everyone else to help. YOU CREATED THIS MESS, NOW YOU NEED TO FIX IT DETROIT! |

Onternet cowboys rule. I read that Quicken was voted the #2 place to work for in the country by Forture magazine, and that's voted on by employees. Guess they must be doing something right. Detroit sports rule, that's all that matters.

The truth is...they are still in Livonia.
They're number two ranking will undoubtedly change after they relocate, since Detroit's number 2 ranking as the most dangerous and the number one most miserable city "spot" they earned for themselves. Its nice to pretend though, so lets pretend everything will by hunky dory....goooo Quicken! |

Im just wonderng what you know about detroit if your from CA? and why you think the people of Michigan dont know how dangerous detroit is... |
|
thank you i was thinking the same thing about these people who think they know about detroit... there in different states for god sake they need to shut the hell up and go walk the streets of detroit for one night see if they come out alive haha |
|
It is very true that they are voted the #2 place to work and it is also very true yet never talked about that the survey's are not "Random" and the company tracks who received the surveys. I was asked to fill out the survey for forbes one year and after I received the email from them I received another one from Quicken "Making sure I was doing the right thing" on the survey. Basically they knew I received the survey, what I put on the survey, and when I submitted it back to forbes. They know more about you than you think they do....... |
|
They are all very nice people and have helped me during my time of need. Stop saying these horrible things. Everybody has their problems in life. Their company didn't get to where they are by doing the wrong things. They have saved me over 300 dollars per month. |

Poor Sally.....she is feeling so good on her interest only mortgage saving her over $300 per month...u jus wait my friend when the note becomes due and u can't pay!! what about all of the junk fees they charged u?? have a cpa look at the closing statement - u got ripped off like everyone who closes with them.....
David Hall is just like the dead cat in the road, at first u do't want to run it but after the first squish u feel what the hell and then flatten it like a pancake....the new David Hall is nothing but a flat dead cat that we should just forget about.... a true loser...money does not make succes....your inner soul will kill you! |

All of what is reported about Rock Financial/Quicken Loans is TRUE. Not badgering, but in the truest sense of sales, the fundementals, they are spot on. Not the way they apply them, but the concept of the sales training was tremendous. It is the reason I went to the company!! All of the terrible things they are doing, it is the reason I left. They will get what's coming, don't worry. They will pay for all that they done to clients and employees. Remember this "they eat there own dog chow"
