Consumer spending in the U.S. climbed in February by the most in five months as incomes rose, signaling an improving job market is spurring demand.

Household purchases, which account for about 70 percent of the economy, gained 0.7 percent after a 0.4 percent advance the prior month that was bigger than previously estimated, a Commerce Department report showed today in Washington. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of 78 economists called for a 0.6 percent rise. Incomes increased 1.1 percent, more than projected, sending the saving rate up from a five-year low.

It's due to the economy collapsing.
Obamas fault, obviously.

We HAVED to SPEND MORE just to buy a bag of groceries or a tank of gas or a roof over our heads.

It takes a whole lot more money just to get by.

Thank God the Public elected State and Federal Leaders who chose to compensated Public Employees far better for doing the same jobs than the Public recieves themselves for working longer and harder with less retirement benefits.

FYI AMERICA

The national average for a gallon of gasoline is currently at $3.65. On top of that sky-high price, the International Monetary Fund has now proposed that the U.S. should impose a tax of $1.40 per gallon in order to pay for social programs around the world and help the environment.(video)

The new Head of the IMF is a former Obama Cabinet member. Nuf said. We elected Leaders who think of us as nothing more than spineless cowards and Tax Slaves who live to fund their Agenda Madness. Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro must be so proud.

We should post an export tariff on all RAW AND PROCESSED US petroleum products.

That would solve most problems, if it were adjusted so that the tariff proceeds pay off the National debt; floating between a fair profit, and meeting the Brent price.

OOPS,(I spilled the beans !)

The media FAILS to address the HIGH COST OF FOOD, the HIGH COST OF GAS (Obama is ADDING 9 cents more to cost this month)

OBAMA = Ray LaHood = wants price of gas to equal what they are paying in the EU!

Get the 'little people' out of their personal vehicles (it's a sin to drive yourself to work, to drive your kids to school, to drive yourself to the grocery store.......everybody get on the bus/train

and meanwhile, those trying to get us out of our personal vehicles are ABUSING what they are preaching.

Obama = crushing Americans

Wait till you see your healthcare costs

Wait till you see the price of gas skyrocket

Wait till food prices escalate (can't have fatties in the USA!)

So Obama was WRONG.

The sequester didn't cause a major economic catastrophe.

Is Obama now going to apologize to the Republicans for his criticism of the sequester?

Most of our exports are of refined products we get from Mexico, Brazil and Canada.......you hit them with tariffs, they'll hit back. Your beans are overcooked.
