was thinking about taking the family to see this on april vacation. When i saw the price, i was very disappointed. My teenage son has always been interested in the Titanic. I was laid off from one of the big insurance companies downtown(they did it in stages so the media didn't get wind of it..over 200 people) we are now down to one income and cannot afford this admission price. I won't mention the exhibit to my son,it would of been great for all of us to see and share as a family!! Maybe next time.

Indeed prices have changed, I saw this Exhibit back in 95 when it came to Boston and the ticket was only $13 bucks with kids under 12,$5. I also saw it in Philly and the price was about 20 bucks plus they had a I-max movie an additional 10 bucks! Parking well, that's the City of Hartford for you but its not charged like a sporting event, since its here for awhile. My only complaint is the youth ticket should be $15 not $18 especially for young folk. I think this event is kind of big for Hartford, but its one that only people really interested in the Titanic will come out. I hope educators can use this wonderful exhibit to show how the importance of how history and society interacted at that time (Educators FREE tuesday night!!!!) see Civic Center schedule) This exhibit is not for everybody take advantage of it, its so close. When was the last time you had to drive to the Met or the Boston Science Museum and paid less than you would pay here.

The importance of Titanic is 2 fold, the ship and all of it's history coupled with society's popular thinking of the time, this was the most advanced product built by man ever...
I saw this exhibit in Atlanta, Ga. It was awesome; touching a section of the hull was incredible....especially for a guy that has been fascinated by the Titanic from a very early age.
22 or 23 Dollars, I will make it happen.
Placing yourself mentally at that era I feel is a must to thoroughly appreciated the awful disaster that completely reflected the arrogance of the day.
It can be and is completely educational for all ages. The ship had the first "turbine prop" ever on it's center engine! That was big news in those days.
The Titanic story, I feel simply is a lesson is al respects to never want more than you need and to cautious of how fragile and precious life and memories are.

I am disgusted people complaining about the price when half of them probably don't think twice about dropping that kind of money or more on alcohol or some expensive piece of clothing or go gambling at the casino. Its sad. The Titanic is an awful tradegy in our history that some seem to feel is no big deal. I wonder after years have passed if society will feel the same about the world trade as they do about the titanic.
