Kissimmee needs to get a life. Do they know about the sort of movies that are produced by Mickey Mouse's DREAM productions? Have they seen network TV lately?

But Amanda Engle, a senior from Hungerford Prep, said the logo had no place in school.

How much you wanna bet Amanda hasn't had a date yet?

Once again we see what happens when closed minded zealots stick their noses where they don't belong. I agree that the parents should moniter the childrens apparels, but I also agre that the schools can determine policy. However, this policy should not be a vague set rules open to different interpretations depending upon the person and the moment. If it's no logos, then it should be all of them.
Best bet is to go to a uniform.
You give children the option to choose their own apparel, then punish them for their choices. That sends the wrong message. If you want to stifle their free will, then do it in a manner which cannot be considered biased. Go to the uniform. Same thing for everyone. No one gets offended.
(Then don't complain about a lack of creativity, imagination or initiative - you took it away)

For crissakes, is this what our schools are focusing on? No wonder American children are stupid: their teachers are stupider than they are! Teach something important like history or english or math. Unbelievable.

The Penthouse "Key" and the Hustler branding are also gaining popularity among young females. Modesty and grace have all but vanished in this "Girls Gone Wild" era. Good luck in the future, Elizabeth.

be for real please. No, the "swaet pants" did not just have the small playboy bunny logo on them - they had the word PLAYBOY printed across the Arse! That has no business in school. Kids are in school to learn- it's not a fashion show nor a booty girl contest. Better to teach these kids NOW while they are in school to (just like a job) dress appropraitly . The suggestive or seductive clothing can be savored for the weekend when all the "girls gone wild " gang, come over for Koolaide ! Jeez, geta backbone parents.
Here in Broward cty we have uniforms thru middle school then it's nothing suggestive or seductive. Having PLAYBOY written across your dairy aire is not appropriate for school little girl- get real.

That sweat pants should not be worn to school, when these young people become working adults they cannot wear a sweat pants to work. Some of you simple minded parents allow your kids to run the household, stand you ground and act like a parent.

I would have lessened the detention if she had taken them off right then.

****I bet $1,000,000 that Amanda Engle, the one who made this comment, tips the scales at 400 pounds plus!! Only an ugly, overweight person like Amanda could make a comment like this.........."But Amanda Engle, a senior from Hungerford Prep, said the logo had no place in school."

"It's common sense -- keep the adult things at home," Engle said. "It is offensive, because Playboy represents the adoration of a shallow and spoiled culture, where real beauty is tossed aside and replaced by silicone and skin cancer."

If everyone just wore a standard uniform to school, all this nonsense could be avoided.

you folks are so silly always with the free speech (taking away free will), it's a bit too dramatic. there is nothing wrong with expressing yourself through acceptable and appropriate choices. while we view Playboy as pretty mild, they do publish a porn magazine and porn movies. i think it is really easy to see this type of product has no place in school.

you can't compare a soft porn company to every other brand name, it just doesn't make sense. if you people are like robots and can't differentiate then i guess uniforms would be the only way to go. that seems drastic to me. common sense is all it takes.

in defense of the student, she probably didn't think anything of it as the "sweats" weren't skimpy, just what the logo stands for.

free speech is great, but everyone forgets there is a time and place. if you have to give thought about what you wear to work, then why is school different. don't we want our children focused on studies? they have enough taking their attention in other directions to not add more.

quit spouting rhetoric from the Lifetime network. it depends on the motive of the rapist, can't generalize anything.

any action by humans can have many different motives. theft could be b/c they don't have money, or for thrill, or to look cool/tough. Rape is the same. it is a violent crime, but that may not be the primary goal or they could just beat the person with a bat.

Wow, the 400 pound cheerleader hater has spoken. Well, she was helping the boys in school learn to READ! Each day, she would have a word printed on her rump and by the end of the year she would have them reading more and more! In history class, she could wear the Constitution in fine print, so everyone can look UP CLOSE and get a FIRM education. It is a WORD, just like OUI is a word. Your interpretation of it is where it gets dirty. After all, sweatpants are not sexy, what is in them is what makes them sexy.
