Certainly we need to replace aging and unsafe LIGHT WATER reactors with 'passive safe' generation five reactors. I mean, their 'life' was over many years ago. Built in the 50's to 70's, they were only designed for UP TO thirty years of operation. And even then, their wasn't enough long term data to justify good forecasting of their life spans.
We need something like the Molten Fluoride Salt reactors that can utilize excess plutonium and reduce stockpiles.
