Flagging Oval Office hope among African-Americans

I have flagging hope that you media types will allow an honest election.
If you google articles you will see a media assault insinuating that Obama who is clearly winning should be loosing. Please drop the mind control inuendo articles. Do one about the summer Hillary spent hanging out with the Black Panthers at their headquarters, wouldn't people really prefer an interesting story like that? Especially after the things she has suggested about Obama! Hypocrit does not begin to describe her. |

Obama is not evil, but he is somewhat misguided.

Obama is a fraud, and has been from the start. He only joined that church in the first place to get street cred as he was laughed out of communities he was trying to "organize" as an out-of-touch outsider. Then what? He was picked up by Rezko and in turn got him public money to let the elderly and poor freeze in Rezko's slums. The Iraqi billionaire, Auchi, whom Obama "doesn't remember" toasting and partying with, gave the Rezkos the money to help buy the Obamas their mansion.
But worst of all is Obama's "list of accomplishments." They were taken from their original authors and given to Obama by king-makers so he could run for higher office. Obama knows this and yet claims credit for others' work. In fact, as noted in the Washington Post, he contiues to do this to this day. I'd call knowingly perpetuating a fraud "evil" --- and none of this, his arrogance, his inexperience, his connections, is Hillary's fault. And I didn't even touch on Ayers or Odinga. Look it up yourselves and stop blaming Wright, Hillary and the media...Obama has been winning caucuses, not elections, and hopefully Indiana and North Carolina voters will send this fraud back to Chicago. |

the sponsor of a message is it's real author. les payne's 20 years of white hating columns was newsday editorial page editor (and newsday boss) jim klurfeld's way of telling his white, christian readers that he didn't like or trust them. les payne is just his pawn delivering his message.

Personally, I've always felt that Obama was being set up for a fall. Just as Hilary is the token "woman", Obama is the token "black". And I've felt that he was allowed to go just so far, and then would be yanked out.
And I speak as a white Obama supporter. |

I've found that upper middle class black families are the most scared. They worry that their so called tolerant white neighbors who only accepted them because of academic/financial achievement and their ability to purchase homes in white enclaves might dissipate. They worry that the white women the befriended will now start to look askance at them if Hillary loses, so while pretending to be appalled at rev. Wright they are doing the same dance.

As an Indian, I find some white people's hypocrisy both jarring and intellectually infantile. I mean isn't it laughably ironic that any time a black writer pens a criticism of the media for a double standard, he is denounced for being "white hating". Whereas a white writer who dares to criticize blacks or any other minority is praised for his courage and saluted for his patriotism (think Bill O'Reilly, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity. After all, isn't it blacks who've been oppressed for the past 400 years? Not in popular culture I guess - they all just magically appeared some time after 1984 with their crazy hightops and rapp huh?
But as for Obama's electability, he's proven himself capable of weathering any storm with an inspiring dose of dignity and poise. Of course, the babbling wing nuts who support McCain are gullible enough to believe anything in order to hate him, i.e. Muslim spy because he's been overseas, corrupt because he worked for a white-shoe law firm whose clientele included a rich and corrupt, terroristic because someone who lives in the district to which Obama was elected to the Illinois legislature was a terrorist when Obama was in 3rd grade, and of course inexperienced, because, apparently, both McCain and Hillary were presidents and governors of the phantom nation/state of Myspouse'swealth before running in 2008. It seems to me, the predominant reason black employees, in the corporate setting, are denied positions, is often times due to lack of experience. Now this is often true, for the simple reason that most white partners at major firms are loathe to ingratiate black associates into the firm's culture due to, to use a euphemism, "wanting to associate with like minded people." Yet, on a few occasions, one does bear witness to the grim specter of the very experienced black associate simply being passed up "due to lack of experience," notwithstanding the facts on the resume. Thus, for the Hillary/McCain "experience voters", Barack could be 90 years old and have been governor of every state since conception and he would "lack experience" on some fundamental level. It all goes to show that just as with those who are so eager to pull trigger on "white hater", or "inexperienced" black associate, those who would do the same on national politics reveal more about the dilapidated state of their own morality than anything salient about the world around them. Although no one can overlook the Obama Wright 20 year connection one has to make a choice from three of the worst candidates in history. McCain the warmonger and Hillary the panderer for every special interest group and a warmonger on Iran. I will vote for Obama unless the idiot democrats fix the special delegate count in Hillary's favor. Obama, however, has been doomed by people like the despicable white hating, America hating egomaniac Re. Wright and the resident racist Les Payne with his fairytale stories. The real Les Payne is the one that made Hillary literally the antiChrist since birth and his hate of the white Clintons just because they are white. White voters see the hate from blacks like these two and Obama probably cannot overcome it.

Who Pays,
McCain is not a warmonger!!! McCain understands foreign policy and what we need to do to protect our interests. Some wars are necessary also. Islam is a gutter religion and we need to protect ourselves from its threat, because it is a big threat. You can not hide under your blanket and think it will go away because it won't. McCain understands this and understands this WELL |

McCain comes from a mindset where the military is a "family business," and he most definitely IS a warmonger. He had the opportunity to vote against President Bush's IDIOCY and he blew it. I met "hereditary military caste" dudes like McCain when I was in the service: You'd learn that So-and-so's Daddy was in the Airforce for 30 yrs and retired as Senior Master Sergeant... so sonny steps forward at age 18 or 19 right after high school and joins up, planning to spend HIS 20 years or more there.... OR if he's bright and academic, he gets a Congressional appointment to the Air Force Academy (Naval Academy in McCain's case) where the government bestows a free university education on him in exchange for X number of years of military service. McCain himself is 3rd-generation Navy with one son in the Marine Corps - a sacrifice which I have to admit I find admirable.... Nonetheless, this man has drunk the Republican/Bush Kool-Aid. He, as a pro-business millionaire (by marriage), accepts the "necessity" of the war as an important means to transfer government funds into the hands of defense contractors like Blackwater Intl., Halliburton, et al. He's no good. |

The war is necessary. If it lasts 100 years, then so be it. We MUST defeat these Islamic-fascist terrorists. No other outcome is acceptable. And when Hillary (whom I would NEVER consider voting for for any position) said she would obliterate Iran if they attacked Israel, she was right and I am glad she said it.
As for Obama, he would have had a LOT more credibility if he had denounced Rev. Wrong IMMEDIATELY. Obama did this damage to himself. And people will question his judgment because of it. As a Libertarian, I will not vote for McCain nor the democratic nominee, whomever that may be. PEACE !:) |

Wrote: Racial Realities in the United States ~~~~~~~~~~ by Randy Shaw‚ May. 05‚ 2008 ~~~~~~~~~~ Two facts to think about. First, as Frank Rich noted in Sunday’s New York Times, a traditional media obsessed with Democrats’ ability to win “white working class voters” ignores the fact that Republicans have no African-Americans in Congress or the Senate.~~~~~~~~~ And nobody hosting a Sunday political talk show defines the Republican Party’s racial exclusion as a “problem,” or examines what this means for the G.O.P.'s electoral prospects.~~~~~~~~~ Second, since the Civil War ended in 1865, the only African-Americans to win a statewide election are Senator Edward Brooke and Governor Deval Patrick in Massachusetts, Governor Doug Wilder in Virginia, and Senators Carol Moseley-Braun and Barack Obama in Illinois.~~~~~~~~~ Five people in over 140 years. And yet some wonder why a path is not being cleared for Obama to waltz to the White House.~~~~~~~~~ I agree with Randy’s comments !!!!! |

TRINITY REP DENIES WRIGHT/REYNOLDS DINNER: Daily News item also had Wright 'huddled in a corner' with organizer of Press Club appearance.~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~May 5, 2008)~~~~~~~~~ *A rep for Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ has written EURweb to deny a New York Daily News story regarding its former pastor Jeremiah Wright and Barbara Reynolds, a minister who organized his recent headline-making appearance at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.~~~~~~~~~ The paper's Rush & Malloy column on May 1st stated: "Reynolds and Wright couldn't have looked chummier on Tuesday night when they met at D.C.'s Mayflower Hotel.'They shared a hug and a kiss and then huddled in a corner,' says our spy.'Then they went off to dinner.'" ~~~~~~~~~~ According to Trinity United Church of Christ's media coordinator Donna Hammond-Miller, "Dr. Wright did not have dinner with Dr. Reynolds at any time while in D.C." ~~~~~~~~~~ Reynolds, a supporter of Hillary Clinton, has been the target of conspiracy theorists who suggest she may have arranged Rev. Wright's appearance to embarrass the campaign of Senator Obama. Today’s News visit: EURweb.com ~~~~~~~~~~Obama for President!~~~~~~~~~ |
Actually, an intelligent observer should realize how absurd this whole Rev. Wright fiasco is. The cold hard facts are that Obama's "religious rights" are being violated just the same as Romney's were when he was pounded on by Huckabee and others for his being a Mormon. Religion should NEVER be a consideration when voting for a President - either on the right or left. Religion is NOT a factor in the competent governance of the USA. The fact that so many American voters insist that religion be injected into the process is to their (our) collective detriment. They will be played for fools every time by the politicians. And deservedly so. |
American europeans want american africans to turn a blinds eye to our country's history and their experience in order to avoid taking the responsibility to work together to make things right. We are talking about a group of people who have financially, physically, and mentally benefited from slavery, jim crow and other separatist acts based upon being racist to black people. If american africans cannot provide a compelling reason i.e benefit to end racism from an american european perspective why should we be free of it? The question that needs to be answered before we can put an end to the single greatest disease in this country's history is very simple... What is in it for them? |
Major Obama Victory in N.C. Resolves Nomination Fight by Randy Shaw‚ May. 06‚ 2008 ~~~~~~~~~ The campaign between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has gone on so long that even political junkies are eager for it to wind up.~~~~~~~~~ I wrote on April 22 that it would be up to North Carolina voters on May 6 to end Clinton’s campaign for good, and despite Reverend Wright and a traditional media intent on ignoring key issues and electoral math, nothing has changed my analysis.~~~~~~~~ The last week has significantly altered the prevailing narrative that the two candidates have largely identical views.~~~~~~~~~ Clinton’s support for a summer waiver of the federal gas tax, her attack on economists opposing the waiver as “elitists,” her willingness to “obliterate” Iran, and her Indiana mailer accusing Obama of infringing on gun owner’s rights reflect a neo-Cold Warrior candidate who will move as far to the right as necessary to get what she wants.~~~~~~~~~ Half of the remaining pledged delegates will be decided tonight, and, if she loses North Carolina, even a national media desperate to prolong this race will be urging Clinton to drop out.~~~~~~~~~ This race is about delegates, not a mythical “electability,” and with African-Americans comprising 40% of the state’s early voting electorate, Obama should finally “close the deal.”~~~~~~~~ I agree with Randy and I am supporting Obama for President! |
The whole Rev. Wrong fiasco is about the JUDGMENT of Senator Obama. He certainly has a right to worship at the church of his choosing, but when a pastor says such hateful things, AND Senator Obama does not IMMEDIATELY denounce them, and seperate himself from this church and this man, then I think, and a LOT of people apparently think, it raises serious doubts about his judgment. PEACE !:) |
