Well, I for one am glad to see a HAPPY story coming out of Allentown for once!! God knows, it is refreshing to see a birth rather than a death.

I just hope that the mommy falcon comes back now that the "camera-men" are all up there in her nest.

Be careful not to touch the eggs nor the chickies, you knuckleheads!

Yes, it's a bird and a rare one we've nearly made extinct.

This is good news for the city and both counties, as well as the Valley in general.

To the person worried about the camera, it's likely hidden so the birds cannot see it. People have been doing that in nests for years.

Folks,

No one is going near the nest. There is a single, small peephole for people to look through and take photos from INSIDE the building, and access is very limited so as not to cause any undue disruption to the birds.

I can assure you the falcons are used to seeing officials peek through the hole to check on them, and there is no danger to the birds. The Game Commission has been closely monitoring nests this way for years with good success.

well I am happy for new life as well but this is hardly breaking news, I'll bet you haven't heard the good news about the people in Burma finally being allowed to receive aid.

If you liked this story, then you'll probably also like this other one. Never mind my comments at the end of it.

I am glad to see PP&L has a soft heart for the birds. I am wondering if PP&L will raise their rate on the rooftop rental space? Either way its a happy story, but someone will screw it up!

I feel awful. This looks just like the bird of prey that I shot with my 22 the other day walking on the PP&L property. I feel so terrible. It attacked me for no reason only to realize I was close to the nest.

They are taken from a webcam and only the environmentalist has access to this.

The bird picked center city Allentown, cuz he knew that the people with guns were only interested in killing humans.

Yes indeed Brian. Most would agree that the prospect of watching that blade of grass growing from above ground (anywhere) is far better than from below it.

I bet the CEO gets this written into his golden parachute contract. He will demand and get falcon egg omlets.
