"Those suing are men and women in such positions as administrative assistants, secretaries, security guards and typists. They are seeking class-action status for the complaint."

Admin assistants, secretaries, security guards and typists? Advance to what?

Edison wins awards for diversity year after year after year. This is nonsense. If you don't want to work there, then go find another job.

I worked for Edison at their Nuclear facility for 20 years. I am African American, Black, Colored, Negro or whatever the label is you wish to apply. I don't like either label. I am a human. SCE will continue to be sued by minorities and women due to their bias and unfair treatment of people who are qualified and deserving but over looked by the "Good ole boy club". Their safety ratings at the nuclear facility is a fair indication of where their management is headed. Down the toilet. Their smoke screen of fairness, safety, compliance and integrity is a sham. The agencies that are supposed to police them like the NRC, EPA, OSHA, EEO, HR and their unions are no better either. The Edison Corporate Ethics Comittee and their Human Resources departments are a total sham and just window dressing. Look at the makeup and gender of upper and executive management and the SCE board. The people who work in the Rosemead headquarters are not grounded in reality and the people who work at their facilities are busy avoiding being undermined by their peers due to the dog eat dog backstabbing environment of Edison. Edison has go getters and dead beats in all areas, especially management. Edison continues to undermine its employees with temp workers, contractors and immigrant workers. Some stay at Edison because it's tough to find a job that pays well and has good benefits. Others stay to fight the good fight and try to effect change from within the organization. Edison is EVIL! It's no mystery why we stay and suffer. Let's be real, white men would sue if they had a legal avenue, but alas, they are not a protected group like minorities and women because they have affirmative action through golfing with the boss and hanging out with the boss in sleazy places doing sleazy things. Let the lawsuits continue.
SCE CSBU CSI Department

This department retaliates against its employees by giving them low PPA/PDP scores and checking "need improvement" on the employees PDP. Also this department forces its employees to work uncompensated overtime even on the July 4th weekend. Employees had contacted Barbara Perez in payroll to see if he/she should be compensated on July 5th since it is a legal holiday and Barbara said yes and should be coded as "Supplemental" time for salaried employees. But Gary Barsley and Priscilla Ortiz games the system by saying that there is no compensation for coming to work on a Company Holiday. This is a very hostile working environment and everyone is trying to leave this Department.
