Of course they reached settlement with the scabs, all they had to was do it. That is the way it is if you work without a union. The workers have no say they just take whatever the co. Says and bend over! Miners out there you must realize, you need the umwa where you will have a contract that protects your rights. The company can can make promices and can break them anytime they please. For a safer mine and your own self respect and a contract: instead of promises it is time to join the union.

you need to read a history of coal mining and why the union however flawed was formed. they do it in court now, beatings shootings treat you very badly, at least we have a chance with the union, its their way or highway some non union places are ok but when it comes down to it they have the final say
