1 - James B. Kennedy, Redondo Beach" Ah, does that include "MoveOn.Org ", the "Sierra Club", "Greenpeace", SEIU, and the other "special interests" that have turned California into the bankrupt toilet it is? Of course not, Kennedy is a "Progressive" the only "special interests" are the ones he doesn't like. Money always buys politicians. This is a constant of history. The only way to protect people from this problem is to reduce the power of politicians to almost trivial levels or restrict its scope. Both of these alternatives are in direct opposition to the "progressive" goals. Mr Kennedy is part of the problem, not the solution. |

1 What he fails to see is that this god awful health care bill is a RESULT of those bribes. Everything about the bill -- from avoiding tort reform to special rules for big Pharma -- is a payback to unions, trial lawyer associations, the AARP, and all the other donors to Democrats. Its a shame that we, the citizens, can't get past our silly partisan fights and turn our anger against the REAL culprits. This is what those Tea Parties were all about. This is what Glen Beck talks about. Give them a chance and see for yourself. |

1 slug -- there seems to be a clique of people who have their letters published regularly. Ralph Orr, Neil Proffitt, and so on. The "weird" thing I've noticed is that these folks are almost always "left". Yes, there is the Medical Doctor who supports gun rights, but thats all he writes about. What do you think? Is this just expected from a paper that is also "left"? Or,?? |

Steve Mozena - your mistake was going to a bookstore. They only carry what sells.
If you go to your library and ask the children's librarian, he or she could direct you to the (paltry number, but they do exist) books on veterans and Veterans Day appropriate for a 7-year-old - for example: Veterans Day by Jacqueline S. Cotton Veterans Day by Marlene Targ Brill and Qi Z. Wang The Wall by Eve Bunting |

1 Well, I already said what I think about their publishing JBKennedy (I write it that way because he is the same clown that is in Random Lengths)' I don't know what the editors are thinking. They publish Tom Long's letters and he overtly states he won't subscribe to the paper because of editorial/editing issues. They published my own stuff some years ago on global warming, price controls, 9-11 and the 2000 election. Those letters had nothing to left politically in them. Some letters I have sent in they did not publish. I think mostly because of length. A few I was glad they didn't publish because I didn't like the way I wrote them. One they did publish (I forget the subject) and I wished they hadn't. |

1 13 people were "executed" and "they want you to think that he acted as a potential terrorist. Her are the two scenarios; 1)He acted as all good terrorist do, killing the infidels (non-Muslims) as dictated by the Qur'an. Which means that terrorist are in this country and should be rounded up and immediately executed as enemy spies. 2)He his not a terrorist, just a plain ordinary Muslim to which we should expel all these followers of this murderous religion out of this country. But we can't do either why? because the ACLU won't allow it. Nobody could act on Nidal Hasan because he had not done anything. You can bet if someone, anyone has intervened on this person ACLU would be there filing a law suit protecting he freedom of religion. Here is my idea, the United States announces that it does not recolonized Islam as a religion, then it will no longer be protected as a civil right. Don't give me this prejudiced BS, there are plenty of people practicing "their" form religion in this country that is not "RECOGNIZED" and there for not covered by civil rights. An investigation will have to be made to show that Hasan acted as a terrorist, because if he wasn't part of a fanatical group then that means we need to fear ANY follower of Islam. For what ever reason this government needs to quit worrying about kissing ACLU a** and the Soros world order and start protecting this country and it's people. |

1 the old I'm not going to lower myself to that level falls on deaf ears then so be it. This Country is in serious trouble. Watch any current program on TV. So I'm going to tell you a story for this veterans day (that some how missed be acknowledged this day) Ed Freeman,Almost 24 years to this day a base camp in Vietnam was under attack by forces 8 to 1, the fighting was so intense that the base commander radioed to halt all medical evacuations. Ed Freeman flew an unarmed, unmarked Huey helicopter and delivered water ammunition AND rescued 30 wounded soldiers who would have died from their wounds. This act was not a one time trip, Ed repeated this deed OVER and OVER over until the 30 soldiers were rescued. Well Ed Freeman died this week at the age of 80. GOD BLESS . |

Mr. Levy's letter was directed at fanatical Muslims and the confusion that gets made because the ACLU fails to make the distinction between them and the Muslin religion in general in protecting rights. A strength in this country is the protection of the right to a person holding their own religious beliefs. The whack job went beyond that. He should have been kicked out long before he got to act because he overtly broke the promise he made to his government when he entered the Army. What this country doesn't tolerate are beliefs when destructively acted upon. Timothy McVeigh killed many in government service because he hated the government because of his libertarian views. He was executed. I am certain this guy will get the same. |

1 I can assure Breeze readers that their selection of letters are FAR more balanced than any paper in NorCal. Their other site, Daily News, is also balanced. I also like the notion that an editor will "save" an author from himself. Most people have written or said things that they wish they hadn't. A good editor will weed those letters out. |

1 Hahahaha, I'm sure you are correct, but big deal. Everyone with a brain knows that Northern California is a logic free zone. Just because someone is more humanitarian than say, Joe Stalin, that doesn't qualify them for sainthood. The Breeze is a leftist rag. Any paper which would employ the likes of John Bogert, lacks any sense of balance and credibility. The Breeze news stories are grade "C" mostly, with an occasional "B" offering.(Considering what they pay their people, it's surprising that they make it all the way to "C".) |

James B. Kennedy (aka JP Kennedy of Redondo Beach in The Beach Distorter) always publishes bogus trash such that even he doesn't believe himself! My advise to him is to just fade into obscurity, along with his partner Kathleen Paralusz.
