Way to encourage reinvestment in exploration and improved safety and efficiency in getting the abundant energy right under our feet, Democrats.

There are no loopholes; there are deductions, much like your home mortgage interest. Loopholes are the likes of Bon Jovi getting farm subsidies. You should look it up, and he's not alone.

Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Should five per cent appear too small
Be thankful I don't take it all
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah I'm the taxman

If you drive a car, I'll tax the street,
If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat.
If you get too cold I'll tax the heat,
If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet.

Don't ask me what I want it for
If you don't want to pay some more
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Now my advice for those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman
And you're working for no one but me.

Anything to increase the unemployment numbers by denigrating Business. What pass for Democrats in the Pelosi/Obama era are very scary folks.

They make hundreds of billions in profit; why do they need additional tax breaks?

So let me get this right. The Obama Regime wants to punish "big oil" and make them pay their "fair share." Thus the price of gasoline, diesel and home heating oil would go up even more than it already is. Therefore raking the middle class over the coals again. Just like the price of food, health care and most other goods and services has since Obama took office in 2009. Then during the Kenyan' s State of the Union fable, he babbled on about spending billions on "infrastructure", or roads and bridges. I thought the Dear Leader wanted the common rabble to ride bicycles and use "light rail" when we traveled from our one bedroom government apartments to our jobs at the uniform factory?
The oil & gas companies make BILLIONS in profits.

If the price of oil/gas goes up, blame the oil & gas companies for being even greedier.

Why do Republicans give away our tax dollars to the most profitable companies on Earth, then whine that we'll "hurt" them if we take away some of their tax breaks?

Sure we need to cut their profits just after Obama's coronation gas has gone up another 70 cents a gallon. Of course he doesn't pay for the millions he spends in fuel.

Obama to Vacation in West Palm Beach
by Keith Koffler on February 13, 2013, 5:38 pm

Taxpayers will be sending President Obama on his second vacation of the year when he departs Friday aboard Air Force One for a Presidentsí Day Weekend excursion to West Palm Beach, Florida.

Without apparent irony, Obama has decided to jet to a well-trod stomping ground of the rich just days after presenting himself to the nation in his State of the Union speech as the guardian of the middle class.

Obama presumably will head directly to some fabulous golf course, having not been able to play in recent weeks because of the cold weather in Washington.

While Obama may pay some hotel and other miscellaneous costs related to his vacation travel, taxpayers are on the hook for much of the expense, shelling out for the presidentís travel aboard Air Force One, a cargo plane that carries supplies, and the cost of the presidentís substantial staff and security retinue.

While unemployment stands at nearly eight percent, Obama is taking his second vacation of 2013. The year is only six weeks old.

I don't know, why do libs give it away to green bankrupt companies. At least ours are providing jobs, where yours are laying off people and outsourcing them to foreign countries.

Oil and gas companies make less per gallon with all the risk, than the government does having none of the risk.

Who cares? They still make hundreds of billions in profit every year. There is no reason for the taxpayer further subsidizing them. They already screw us over at the pump every day.

Yes and they provide jobs and taxpayers so the government can function and hire the freeloaders that suck up the oil company monies.

Which means they don't need additional taxpayer welfare.

This is one of the big lies. You--and the rest of the ignorant masses--seem to believe that the government is sending checks from the government to oil companies when, in fact, these so-called subsidies are monies the government never had. IT'S A BIG LIE; it isn't any more welfare than your home mortgage interest deduction, which is money the government never had, either.
