Elena Mikhailova of Gazprom can turn the gas off in Europe while the gas bags in Washington founder around in their ineptitude. Once the Giant Corporations find out the money it may cost them; they will tell Obama to shut up and go sit in the corner where he belongs.

There will be no significatn impact on the joint cooperation between Russian and US companies. You can see that the Major companies are still working on long-term projects: http://arthurle.com/statoil-and-russia-starts...
http://arthurle.com/sechin-praises-global-par... http://arthurle.com/tag/yamal-lng/ http://arthurle.com/russias-rosneft-bp-ink-de... This is all proves that the sanctions is just a matter of low pressure on the situation in Ukraine and/or aimed on the Putin nearest sorrunding |

The Gas is a big Issue for Europe and small issue for Russia. Russia can easely turn of the Gas if it will be necessary. Couple of days will be enough. But it will never happen... |

Europe deals with Russia and Russia is one of its biggest trading partners. They both know this while we seemingly don't. The Middle East hates us for our sanctions because they have killed thousands of their children while we have made Billionaires out of the figure heads we have put in place there. We have been wrong and continue to be in dealing with the world, because there is no morality in Washington DC.

Robert, I would say that everything can be compared. The truth is somewhere in between. But in terms of the topic, then Sanctions is the modern way of War (IMHO). It can give same results as military actions. And you know that When is war then companies/corporations can rather win or loose... The only thig we can do is wait and monitor. |

You are correct but who is this war waged against? Not the country's rulers nor their military. It's eventually waged against their people and we have to be blind not to see that. The only people who suffer from our sanctions are the innocents and that doesn't make me very proud of my country. |
