Using washing machines as a justification for an increase is ridiculous. Everything else is about conserving and here we are asking to waste our resources.
It appears by the article that you can monitor the purchase of washing machines better than you can manage the Water Company.
There has been a big increase in the population of York as well as building and other businesses opening in the area. Why don’t you send them coupons to purchase top loader washing machines as an incentive to lower our rates.
Is this just another way to get a higher salary? Do you think the general public is stupid?
We have all been faced with increases for everything we buy lately, tighten your belt like everyone else and find some sort of justification that makes sense.

It is truly amazing that anyone would promote wasting water. There is new building construction going on in York as well as maintenance to the existing system. But we identify washing machines as the culprit and the primary problem for losses in the first quarter. Maybe we should get down and dirty to promote washing more often.
What kind of an administrator do we have in the water company that promotes waste?
The water company should get rid of people that think like this, it is bad for the environment. While everyone else is thinking green we have someone looking for a profit to promote wasting water.
That other person is right, buy a top loader washing machine so we can lower our water bills. Maybe we should get rid of the financial manager and save that way.

The Chief Financial Officer must have stock in Washing Machine Sales. She must be very new to this type of job to make such an outrageous suggestion.
While everyone else in the Country is concerned about water conservation we have an extremist looking to profit from wasting water.
It makes you wonder why all of those washing machine manufacturers would design units that conserve water. What a shame, if they only knew that the Chief Financial Officer for the York Water Company encourages wasting water.

I wonder if the Chief Financial Officer will do if we have a drought this summer. Will she encourage us to go back to our front loaders for the summer and return back to the top loaders in the winter?
