Wow, just wow... There are too many things giving off radio signals nowadays. To blame just wi-fi is ludicrous. I'm surprised they aren't saying they are allergic to light, don't you know that is a source of radio waves as well?

These people need to stop living in their "woe is me world". Get over yourself, the ADA doesn't say that disabled people get whatever they want when they want just because they think it is right. These idiots dont realize that we are bombarded by radio signals all day long. There is no way their body could tell the difference between a 802.11 signal and the signal for 104.1. Get over yourself people! You arent special! It's nobody elses fault that you are disabled.
Thank you Corky, I could not have said it better. These people live a "poor me" existance and they expect the rest of the world to cave into their idiosyncransies instead of bucking up and living in the real world. Hey, life can be h3ll for all of us but most of us deal with it and live full lives.

wi-fi ,radiowaves, microwaves, cellphone wavee, light, UV, IR are ALL the same thing, just different wave lengths. All these things are call Electromagentic waves. The have an electro field component, and a magnetic field component. That is it. How can you be allergic to that... allergies is a chemical reaction, electromagnetic waves have no chemicals.

Let's see - I'm have idiot/psycho/wierdo sensitivity! When I am around them I get a headache and chestpains. If they are that sensitve they need to all go live in a cave somewhere or build a compound that all the wackos can go live in together.

I suffer myself from all the high frequency pulsed radiation, such as WiFi, DECT cell phones and mobile phones, masts. I urge you to educate yourself:

There is large evidence, existent "safety" don't protect you at all. They are just made to prevent you from being cooked within 6 minutes!

This is true.
What happens is the Electromagnetic (EM) radiation, because of it's magnetic field can re-orient molecules and even damage cells as a result. If that damaged cell replicates itself, and continous to do that, you have cancer.

The argument that Ron Trujillo makes that because there is already wifi in the area that makes it ok to put more wifi there is the same as saying that if one person is smoking a cigarette in a room then it is ok to have ten people smoking. His argument makes no sense.

Every addition of a wifi router and a computer using wifi increased the ambient level of electromagnetic radiation. Doctors, scientists and governmental agencies worldwide are issuing public health alerts on exposure to emr. The world is facing a brain tumor epidemic.

I had a wireless router in my bedroom for two years before I realized it was causing me harm. I avoid it now as much as I can, but I have become sensitized and suffer harm from any exposure. Many people are suffering harm from emr, but they have no idea what is causing the harm.

Our local governments should be issuing public health alerts rather than promoting the proliferation of more emr in our environment.

I recently purchased a silver mesh scarf that protects my head from emr. And yes I have a meter and tested that it works. Some may think this is nutty. I think it is a very sane response to the very real threat to our health.

Please visit www.emrpolicy.org , www.safewireless.org , www.bioinitiative.org , www.lessemf.com , www.powerwatch.org.uk for more on this.

Let's think about this for a second. We use to put our cell phones to our ear to use it. Then there was the "BRAIN-CANCER" scare so now we use a headset. Where is your phone now? In your pocket, next to your....

Pulsed microwaves have been proven to have a biological impact on the body. The lucky people can feel it, these people are the canaries in the mine. If we don't take any notice we will see the impact (which has already started) on the wellbeing of everyone over the next 5 to 15 years. Wake up people!

It's probably not an allergy in the traditional sense. But if you are overexposed to microwaves, you will become sensitized. Radio and TV signals are safer, because the lower frequencies don't penetrate the skull as well (see A. Frey, 1962). I stopped using cordless phones too,
and some of them definitely affect me.
Don't say its a joke until you've done the research. Check out
electricwords.emfacts.com , bioinitiative.org , or
http://piers.mit.edu/piersonline/piers...
First, you need to go to a REAL college and take REAL sciences classes. Then, examine the effects of EMP on the body at the levels that are allowed. If you do that, you will quickly note that it is FAR more "hazardous" to be out in the sun light (So called "natural" EMP) than to be exposed to any of the "man made" EMP.(So, the intelligencia in Santa Fe must cover the entire city to block out the sun, too!) This is just too stupd for words! By the way, extensive work was done to evaluate the 60 hz emissions from power lines, which are orders of magnitude greater than wifi. NO ILL EFFECTS! Get a real education!(I "bothered" to get three engineering degrees!) A final note...You had to go back to 1962 before you could find anything to reference! That says it all! Another "joke", psuedo-science organization!

I'm still shaking my head at hypochondriacs who claim their health problems are due to Wi-Fi transmissions.

Where's the "allergy" to cell phone and cordless phone signals which use the same frequency range and -- in many cases -- transmit much more RF energy?

But more important than my personal opinion: In the story I saw, your reporter cited no scientific evidence on eiher side of the argument, nor did he interview any experts. And there was no investigation of chemical toxicity, which is much more likely to cause headaches and chest pain inside buildngs than extremely weak radio signsls.

This was poor journalism. Shame on you!
