Its just a matter of time before China becomes one of the leaders of innovation. China's recent moves to better protect patents, its large population, its huge pool of engineers and its access to capital and markets are advantages found in few other countries. There are some people who will continue to doubt this but they are in the minority. Some are simply uncomfortable with China's rise and some are simply anxious with their own perceived relative decline - both unwarranted as China's growing middle class are voracious consumers that love imported goods.

Frankly, sure Red Chinese has many of talented Eng or Scientists but it ain't easy for China to do much about Innovation except for its own Red Govt. The Communists Systems prevent such Innovation for private companies, one wrong move those private companies can be put in a new clothe as "traitor".

In Democracy country, Govt instead of using money to build more power for its Army but they give out the budget for R&D and depend on which company will get the money or some they build their own budgets for their own R&D and Apple was the one among thousands in USA

The way China do business in her habit is to copy others.

Copy and paste is the norm for China. Advanced countries all over the world should be careful in exporting technology to china. Chinese working in companies in the U.S. should be checked as these people might be agents ready to steal advance techs and turn it over to their gov. to claim it their own.

Full story: PC World <-

The article is from PC-World UK but depend on the knowledgeable writer either wise or narrow pea-brain

The name of "Silicon Valley" had been solitary confinement for decades of 10 thousands company in California (Bay Areas), not only softwares but also hardware and capital products such as Labs equipment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beckman_Coulter or http://www.newport.com/locations/brandcontact... etc .....

Obviously lot of US's companies took the advantage of the Free Interprise Market to build their production in China for cheaper Chinese labors but today, Google new Tablets are proud of Made in USA

Well, China can do anything with in her capability for her economy but needs more efforts and attitude from her Red Govt which I would say Impossible to do under Communist of Hammer n Sickle.

Freedom n Democracy can do to help all talented person regardless Skin color Blk, Wht, Yel, Tibetan, Malaysian, Chinese, Burmese, French, Aussies ....etc....

You are in TX, you understand that TX is a kind of cheaper than Cali's Silicon Valley.

San Jose Silicon Valley is the International Name, costs very high in living. One can not handle it, he/she moves to TX such as Austin, Houston, Dallas etc....

Stop boasting.

actually, San Jose has already cut their state employees retirement just in order to keep locals schools running. wait until next year.

and I said before, if you lost credibily to investors, you will not
be able to borrow one cent from them.

the entire local governments in US needs big cut on their employees
salary, if they want to ever exist

LOL idiot you. Regardless what USA's production are being built in Red China. Apple, Oracle, Microsoft (WA), Java/Sun, Adobe, etc they all are from San Jose "Silicon Valley"

While your Red China is trying to still "iPAD" register trademark of Apple/Steve Jobs product and says from "Red China Silicon Valley" ? WHat a Joke and bullshit.

Where the valley in China supposed to be ?

Please do not play thieves in the broad of day light, SJ Silicon Valley has plenty of SunLight but your Beijing is under smoky and good for thieves.

Bad practice hey you Red Chinkies

China is well beyond copy and paste, it is a leader in many fields. You need to go to China to find out. I will take China over VN, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, et al anyday. We do a lot more trades and deals with them. That is where the money is and the the golden goose lays its eggs. Many Americans made money there, we are not going there for nothing.
