I signed up with Prosperlearning in January after I had just been scammed by a Lottery loosing $3,000. They knew I was disabled, broke, desperate and needed to make up the money. I have contacted the once by phone and once by letter trying to explain that I want out. My mother has beeen diagnosed with Alzheimer's and at the time of signing I had no idea just how fast the disease progresses and the time that is taken to be the caretaker. All I want is my money back. I am close to bankruptcy due to these fast talking salesmen. I can't even get to talk to my coach whom I will leave his name out at the time. I have researched and cannot get anywhere. I would like any suggestions as to how I can just be released from their credit they gave me plus the debt I put on my credit card. Maybe Prosperlearning is a good business for some people, but I truthfully, did not even know what I signed up for because I was at such an emotionally and mentally low.

Yes, maybe there are great coaches and that's why this program works for some people. I, however, was signed up for a program that I didn't need but didn't know better because nobody told me in the two LONG registration conversations the different programs available. I was signed up for that focused on debt reduction, even though I had not debt at the time. I then received spreadsheets that didn't even add up correcty- for $11,175... My coach also told me that the problem is that "it's just too expensive to live in California." How's that for encouragement? I signed up for the program based on something that I was promised in the initial phone call and that's NOT the product I received. It is great that some people get the informed about the right program and then get the a good coach- maybe that's the key like I said. For me, however, I've lost trust in the company and want nothing to do with it except to get my money back and get out!!! Worst decision of my life and I feel mislead and naive. I made the decision based on certain information and promises that were not true! I have already contacted Greg and HSBC. Greg said that I should have been put in a different program based on my circumstances, and that they can switch me into that program. Problem is I have not trust in the company and I am so let down that I want nothing to do with it. Like I said, great for the people it worked for, but it my situation it just feels like I was scammed.

Can you say bait and switch? When I signed up I was told that I would be given a line of credit to invest in my business. Never was the word tuition mentioned. I signed up for the program and as I was talking to the coach he mentioned something about purchasing a membership with an ISP. I said great I'll use my line of credit for that. He said that the line of credit was for tuiton, not to be used for business expences. I've been trying to get my money back for four months now, it's gotten to the point where my lawer is involved... the program may work but I do not agree with the underhanded, unethical and dirty sales tactics used to get people involved. It's plain and simple BAIT AND SWITCH IS ILLEGAL!!!

I'm the boat with most of us here -- feeling ripped off for $11,200. The pitch was so full of promises that turned out to be, "here are 8 binders of information; read them yourself." Oh, you want to use our On Demand Assistants?, that will cost you extra. And, your super-duper coaching is really some nice fellow reading from a workbook.

So, how does one go about getting a refund from Prosper Learning?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I am also going through the difficult process of trying to be refunded for this service. I contacted the BBB and the only thing that resulted from this was a $2000 decrease, leaving me with a $4,000 balance. I do not feel like I should have to pay them anything. It was a joke! After I participated in a few coaching sessions I knew something was not right. My coach only discussed things I had learned myself from researching the net; never was I once was I given information that "couldn't be" found elsewhere as they stated when they pressured me into this. I have contacted them and they stated that I cannot receive a refund. I do not know what to do? Does anyone know how we can maybe file a class action lawsuit againt the company? From my experience and from what I have read posted here and on other sites we will not get anywhere on an individual basis, but there is power in numbers. What do you guys think? Something has to be done!
