WRONG! You have no proof that "poor whites vote honestly for who they think will do the job best..."
Pollsters have interviewed white voters - especially in Pennsylvania - and detected racial prejudice as the basis for their vote.
So you were just talkin' out your a$$.
<quoted text>
Wake up, Non Prejudiced Person. You are just TRIFLING! We actually have humanitarian and economic concerns in our community that we worry about.
We may be poor, but we are NOT like the poor white people living in broken-down trailers who vote Republican because of some pack of nonsense about "Them libs are gonna take yer guns away!" or "We need to end the horror of abortion!!" or any of that mess.
We can't be played for fools by the Republican Party the way poor and blue-collar white folks are. We're just NOT that dim in the voting booth. LOL!
And as far as Clinton vs. Obama, Clinton's clearly the less capable of the two. Just like McCain, she voted to allow President Bush to lead our nation into the massive train wreck that is Iraq. She made a $3 trillion boo-boo despite repeated pleas and protests and warnings not to go there.
Meanwhile the Iraq War was opposed by most blacks right from the start, and 85% now believe invading Iraq was the WRONG thing to do. We're not gonna REWARD Hillary's dumb a$$ for that crap. You can if you want, but we won't.
Them's the facts and that's YOUR problem and Mrs. Clinton's, not ours.
Now look here Jerkface, or whatever your name was (is). I am a poor white male, and I have black friends I am not racist. And I was sooo happy that a woman and a black man are even able to run for president at all. And guess what my black friends are voting for Obama Because he is black, and at least they are willing to admit it and not hide behind your crap trying to say it is not about race. IT IS! I don't like, nut at least my friends own up to what they are doing and why. so why don't you grow a pair and just admit it.

How many white people have you discussed this with? Any person, black or white, that lumps all black people or all white people into one statement simply shows me they are not really thinking things through.
When 90% of blacks vote Democrat in general elections, and 90% of blacks vote for Obama in Democrat primary then it is not generalizing but stating a fact that black are racists.

Hey, it's nothing to be ashamed of, it is human nature. We all stick to our little tribes, except whites.

And it was also because the civil rights movement came to the fore during Democrat administations during the 1960s that white racists, Dixicrats and conservatives flocked to the Republican Party.
Black people aren't stupid. When white supremacists jump ships or change political parties we still recognize you in your new guise.
We simply don't believe your hype.
Blacks flocked to Democrats because Democrats gave them free handouts. Black-greed.

At the beginning of the primary race, Hilary had more support from black voters than Obama. Hilary botched her support from black voters.

Every time I read one of these topic discussions on race, I am saddened. When I was a young adult I really believed that by the time my children were grown that racism would be pretty much eliminated in this country.

The obvious racism that comes through from many (thankfully not most) posters, black and white, is sinful. Perhaps by the time my grandchildren are grown this elimination will be possible.

The haters that are white need to recognize that blacks have been disadvantaged in the past, and that no race can claim superior intelligence, or superior morals, or superiority in any way. They need to acknowledge that many black people born with nothing and afforded little, still managed in spite of it to achieve greatness, with a lot of hard work and perseverance. They also need to recognize that most people, black or white, want the same things in life; to live in a decent neighborhood, to get a quality education for their children, and to be judged on their actions, and their actions alone, and not the actions of some low life or loser that happens to be black.

The haters that are black need to recognize that nobody alive today held slaves, sold blacks into slavery, or denied blacks the right to vote. They also need to recognize that every black person today has far more rights, and opportunities, than blacks did through out history, and they also need to acknowledge that many black people born with nothing, and afforded little, still managed to achieve greatness with a lot of hard work and perseverance. And not to be redundant but they too, need to recognize that white people also want to be judged on their actions, and their actions alone, not the actions of their forefathers nor the actions of racists that happen to be white.

Yes, there is far less racism and intolerance than there was 50 years ago, but there is still too much. We have a long way to go. There are many people that are color blind, but not enough.
We all, white and black have to teach our children to respect people of all colors, and to be responsible for our own futures, as well as the future of our nation.

One day we will get beyond all this hatred, and intolerance still left in this country, but it will take a lot of examining our own thoughts, a lot of looking at the issues of others, and a lot of educating our youth.

If everyone does their part, it can happen sooner than later!

A telling question is about the 8 percent of blacks who actually break out of the mainstream and vote for someone other than Obama or, in the general election, even for a Republican, horror of all horrors. And another question is why the disdain in the black community for Americans of African descent who succeed, such as Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice and Clarence Thomas? Are blacks who achieve greatness to do so at the risk of vitriol among other blacks only because they are conservatives and Republicans? Now the major question: Do blacks really believe in diversity after all? I suspect we already know the answer to that question.
I think blacks for the most part are against diversity, but even a blind squrrel catches a nut.

I believe that blacks view other successful blacks as sellouts to the black cause, culture and race.

I find it truely pathetic that blacks are voting for Obama purely on skin color alone and not on his policies.

Hell they did the same with that slime Jessie Jackson.

You ever hear of the 'Bell Curve'? I'm a strong believer in that.

Besides your basically trying to tell me there is no difference between the projects and libertyville.

I think most white people are willing to accept decent black people but black people arent willing to accept white people.

They want to have there cake and eat it..They want racism to continue to be an excuse so they can get whatever they want. Anything that doesnt go in there favor is allways "racist".

Have you noticed that blacks side with blacks almost 100% of the time?

Do you remember OJ Simpson? Blacks let one of there own walk because he was black.

How is that not racist?

It seems alot of liberals are more then willing to accept black on white racism but at the same time condemn white on black racism.

Would blacks prefer a condescending attitude, or an honest one?

Stay with Democrats and blacks will be patronized until doomsday. Stick with Republicans and you get honest opinions, you may not like it, but we'z honest.

Oh, he talks about his Grandma alright...his "typical white person" Grandma. That's when he lost my vote right there. The last thing we need is a President who describes his own Grandmother as a "typical white person" because she feels fear when she is walking the street and sees a group of people she doesn't know. Duh...I guess I am a typical white person too because depending on what time of day it is I'm scared and that is the truth no matter what the race of the people I see walking toward me. When women are no longer being raped, mugged, murdered, or kidnapped by people of ANY race I will stop feeling fear when I encounter people I don't know. It's only natural for all women to be apprehensive because while a man is usually at risk for his wallet to be stolen, a woman has to worry about being raped or worse.
If she did the typical thing as a white person back in those times that means he didn't lie. That was his life experience with his family. Imagine what it must have been like for a bi-racial child to see a person he loved scared of something that was part of him? Maybe this is a better example for you to understand. If you had a child who was overweight and every time the parent/care-giver saw an overweight person they shun, look down and made negative comments how do you think the child would feel. It would be the typical thing to do because people are so weight bias and the child made the statement she or he did the typical thing that slim people do... What would you think of that statement? The adult should think about the child first and their issues later.

But blacks vote and sit on juries with color the determining factor, yet whites are racists.
Blacks have been voting for white candidates for years, and suddenly they are racists for voting for Obama? Its insulting. Maybe they like his message, and he is from the party they chose. This is unbelievable. Plus, to say whites vote across the color line is unrealistic too. Whites don't have a lot of other races to choose from, whites dominate all categories. This is the first time there has been a viable black candidate, and all I hear from whites are how racist blacks are for voting for him. 90% blacks will not put anyone one the whitehouse, blacks don't make up that much of the population for people to be so sensitive about how they vote. Also, the media makes a point of making it a black white issue. They know this plays into white fears.

Sorry folks. I must have been high when I wrote this article. Of course black folk are voting for Obama because he is black. Why else? Because of his experience?
