If its been running since 72 i guess its not a scam is it? Scams get shut down. Legitimate organizations stick around 35 years!

For the record, any law enforcement officer or firefighter who dies in the line of duty will have any children receive a tuition-free college education, courtesy of the State of Florida.

Even though its been 3 years since Dave's post, what he said is sadly still going on now. I suspect its because no one's complaining to the proper folks. I know of someone who applied for their "Brighter Tomorrow" grant and was declined. So, giving the organization the benefit of the doubt, he applied for help with living expenses, a roof over his head to be exact, he was carried through a rigid application process, referred to other agencies in hopes that they would help so that the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation wouldn't have to, 5 telephone interviews and interrogations, calls to his landlord, and, a final report that they would help with $200 of the $979 expense with the stipulation that it would be only after he found help elsewhere and paid the bill down to a $200 balance. To top his experience off, he was told that the $200 "help" would be a once in a lifetime help. What a joke. In reviewing the msfocus.org / Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in Ft. Lauderdale BBB report they do not meet standards in several areas. I think that its a shame for a non-profit to raise in excess of 6.8 million dollars a year only to pay 3.7 million in annual salaries, and give pennies, or, if possible, nothing to the people they say they are accepting and raising funds for.[Kudos to The National MS Society! They are far superior, prompt, genuine caring help, very professional. Anyone wanting to contributing to a reputable charity for multiple sclerosis should donate to them only...great organization....great people who work for them-can't say enough good things about them!]

The multiple sclerosis foundation in Ft. Lauderdale operates the same type of boiler room. They use auto dialers and annoy people all day long, all over the country. When you try and figure out who all the money helps, you quickly realize it's the owner of the sham, not those afflicted. It's a complete disgrace.

A quick stop at their website www.msfocus.org not only outlines all their their programs but it also provides the most recent three years IRS 990 tax returns. Your report is a lot of misleading hooey.

It's still going on. I now go on the internet to check out every charity. Most contributions go to administration cost, very little to their supposed charity.
