Thank you for the clarification. The taxes are not paying for illegals and breeders, but to fill the pockets of those low quality dental assistants and dentists.

I don't know the reason, but I am so happy to know no one else who has Wellcare will be fooled into going to Koolsmiles again! I wish they had pulled them a month ago so we would not have taken my grandson. I hope they do go out of business!!! I don't know what kind of dentists they are (we weren't allowed to know) but they did provide one of the most traumatic events of my daughter, grandson, and my lives. We had no plans to ever go back, anyway, but I wish it had not been an option in the first place!
they are moving into the state i live in New Mexico, what happened so i dont take my children there

I know some very good dentists that chose to go to dental school and would never be caught dead working for Kool Smiles.

It's just a matter of time before all the shyt hits the fan.............When K/S first opened, Hey it was a great concept @ hand.. The original owners had created something great...Its NCDRLLC who has mis-managed K/S. The court battles because, non licensed dentist (lol) are working in your clinic, untrained dentist (lol) have a job at your clinic, etc etc. Your best bet is start looking for a new job before K/S is no longer a name. Peolple working under dummy names..lol...

To Concerned Citizen:
If you are in touch with what is going on in our country, you would see that everyone is basically going through hard times. It has come to "Do I really need to make the insurance payment this month or should I go ahead and make the rent payment?" Not all people on government assistance are greedily waiting for the government to pay for everything. I would gladly pay insurance every month for my children,IF it would not be around the same amount for rent every month. Some of us are trying to get by and do better without government assistance. Generalizing and stereotyping are not going to help. I wonder if you have ever had to decide if you could get by without gas or electricity this month so that you could get insurance? And its not because of laziness, its because when one spouse was layed off and looking every day for work (actually going out and knocking on doors) and the other is working full time and going to school evenings to get a better life WITHOUT GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. Bottom line is, if you havent been there, you don't understand, If you don't understand, don't complain.

You should have no problem then, returning your tax check or the stimulus check back to the IRS, so you can help someone else in your position. Yeah right.

My wife worked at Kool Smiles. She put her heart, soul and trust into this company. I am happy to see the managed care providers discovered what Kool Smiles' real concerns were and are...$$$- not the children or their employees.
This is NOT to say the doctors or staff were not giving good care to the children.
I am sadden for the children.
I live in the Hampton Roads area and I would like to talk to the two people in Virginia Beach in more detail about their experience OUTSIDE of this message board. Can I get you all to email me?

Yes it's true. Corporate pushes the OM's on the "weekly call" to see more patients and do more procedures. When your numbers are down, your blasted on the "weekly call" for not doing your job. As the management changed, OM's were fired by the "Bills" who at that time were both regional presidents. I don't know if they are still at Kool Smiles but while they were there it was a reign of terror

One of the "Bills" had the nerve to say that dentistry isn't hard becuse all they do is sit down all day. He is an idiot!!!! Just another business man stealing money from health professionals. They have no respect for the docs, assistants, or hygienists!

The problem is that many of management can't integrate the dentistry into the business operations. This causes too much friction. Same with the dentist who don't possess the business knowledge required to integrate their profession.

I have interviewed numerous times for a position in the Amarillo office of KS. It will be opening June 30th. I keep reading these horror stories and would like to know if this has gone on in any Texas clinics. I haven't seen anything posted for any of the offices in Texas. Also, does anyone know if corporate changes have been made to change how the patients are treated? I would love to earn what the company offers but not at the expense of my character. Somebody please advise.

Dont do it, for what it is worth, your character, integrity and ethical standards should be placed at a higher value than what this company practices.

I agree. There is no history for the Texas offices because they are new or in progress of being built. Talk to some counterparts in places like GA or AZ. Talk to the workers not the management. Higher pay is normally offered because of the rush to get employees hired before opening day. This sacrafices the quality of people that are hired. You'll find some less experienced folks may be making more money than you are.
