If doctors and dentists are not teaching patients how to get OFF of welfare through nutrition, and are instead a part of the problem by feeding them pharmaceuticals and placing toxic metals in their mouths, then the value of all their 'hard work' is no more than the value of a hamburger slinger at McDonald's. http://foodmatters.com

Why is everything everyone else's fault?

I would like to personally thank the State of Connecticut for screwing me out of more money. Thanks Jodi and the good ole boys.

you are truely a friend of Carl MArx nyscof wrote: Dentists who refuse to see Medicaid patients must: 1) Give back any government tuition allowances they received 2) Give back your portion of the money that the Government gave to your dental school so your tuition would be cheaper 3) Get dentists off the boards who evaluate grievances against you 4) Stop lobbying our legislators to gets laws passed that benefit your pocketbook but not our teeth. 5) Stop taking money from fluoride toothpaste manufacturers in return for glowing approval of fluoride 6) Testify in court when another rich dentist gets sued for doing really really bad work 7) Let anyone get a license to perform dentistry such as Dental Therapists, who can drill, fill and pull some teeth (after only two or three years traiing) such as is happening in rural Alaska where no dentists will go. It's not a new concept; but has worked in many developed countries. Organized sued the Alaska therapists unsuccessfully, wasting about a million dollars that could have been used to actually filled children's cavities. I guess you would rather people have no care instead of Dental Therapists. Minnesota dentists are fighting this in their state now 5) Space out all dentists so that there are no dentist shortage area, on a rotational basis, which means going to inner cities, rural areas and low-income areas where dentists are absent but need is high. 6) Stop lobbying against dental hygienists from having solo practices. New York State Dental Society brags that they thwarted this from happening in NY. Many other dental organizations are fighting any group who dares infringe on their lucrative monopoly. 7) Stop pushing fluoridation mandates. You either believe in mandates or you don't. It seems you would like to have government off your backs but don't care when you put government on our backs. You cannot have it both ways. So decide!

How about we impose the same thing for people who do your kid of workk? Thta would be fair, right?

1) I wish some of the people on his list would stop, take a deep breath, and walk a mile in someone else's shoes before railing against people you don't know. 2) People need to get educated about the state budget. This $20 million was put in last year's budget for dental care. It's only the settlement that is new. 3) No one would disagree that our healthcare system is broken. There are multiple state efforts going on right now to improve things or EVERYONE. Get involved -- call your legislators. 4) To those who criticize families who use the HUSKY program, you need to know that HUSKY families pay a higher percentage of their income on their healthcare than we middle income folks do. 5) An anger management class might be worth an investment for a few of you.

All these whiners about government handouts often have nothing to say when it comes to corporate interests or the interests of their elitist management. We're talking small change in terms of taxes for the sake of some children who might not be able to get the care. Do you need a roadmap to see that a new royalty born of sending decent paying jobs overseas got rewarded by our elected officials with massive tax cuts. Do you whiners want to tell workers on the service jobs that remain: "let them eat cake"?

We need more dentists to practice the highest standards of care also, and screen for oral cancer: http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/dental/li... Too many dentists in Connecticut consider themselves to be "businesses out to make money" and will overlook potentially cancerous lesions in lieu of making a buck. It is a disgrace.

Why do only 15% of patients who visit a dentist regularly get cancer screenings? http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/dental/ro... Maybe you should ask your dentist.

You know what ??I dont mind that people that cannot afford insurance get HUSKY ,however husky does not take into account assets that people posess .I know a couple that live in ct.and one of them claims he's disabled, but he is clearly NOT and works all kinds of side jobs and lives with a girlfriend for years and years and they had a huge financial settlement through a lawsuit yet they beat the system and qualify for all sorts of free health insurance and who knows what else, therefore it bothers me that I may have to pay thier dental too..no thanks ..If a single mom or dad that does not live with her /his boyfriend/girlfriend that supports them need it I get that.
