Former Novato mayor, civil rights activist, dies at 74

Funeral services will be held Thursday in Novato for former mayor and civil rights activist Robert D. Carrow, who died of kidney failure at his Novato home Sunday.

I don't understand why the IJ felt is necessary to mention his involvement defending murders. Why remind the families devestated by the scum he defended, of the terror they inflicted. All the IJ needed to print was that he died and he once was mayor.
