Dental work

I live on Long Island and have a lot of dental needs, but no insurance. I can't get state care. My husband is training at a great job (that will eventually pay $100K), but it will take a few years.
I am 30 and haven't been to a dentist since I was 16. My teeth are rotten, and I am missing a few. My gums bleed almost all day, but there is nothing I can do.
Does ANYBODY know of something I can do temporarily or permanently? I don't want to lose any more teeth or have metal caps (as I will EVENTUALLY be able to have everything fixed with tooth colored fillings...)
Does anyone know of dentists looking to do work to help their portfolio? or a program that can help me? again- I can NOT get state health care.
Thank you so much
