Hey! I have the same problem :'(..... Im 19 years old and I've had this problem for 5 years already! I don't know what to do anymore! I don't like going out anymore! I don't even want to go to school anymore :'(..... I'm also a singer! And it's just so depressing because I have that smell constantly!!!! I've never had a boyfriend! I'm scared of talking to people. I can't go on road trips because of this condition. I can't go to concerts without someone saying "it smells like fart". I always brush my teeth. I always have gum, but it makes it worst!!! I cry day and night because I feel like I'm never gonna find that special someone. I have perfect teeth and I'm attractive! It's just that stupid condition!!!! I've never been to a doctor because of this, because it's just so embarrassing!!! Can someone please help me!!!??:'( I beg you!!!! Please!!!!!
Hey, I'm exactly in the same situation as you. I'm 17 years old and I feel that I have bb, especially when I talk to people. I use chewing gum everyday.. I've been using them for 2 years and I still continue. But even when I use them, my mouth dries and I see people making strange facial expressions.. This happens to me aall the ttiiime.
I am attractive too, I have great teeth.. and I never had a boyfriend.. and I really don't want to until i solve his problem.
I feel so bad when I see my friends and other people talking to each other, while I feel like I can't have a good conversation. I've started to avoid people but I don't want this.
How about the future? When I grow up I will have more responsibility and it will be harder because communication is so important.. I'm looking soo hard for a solution, but I haven't find it yet :((

I just purchased a new product called OraBrush tongue foam and Tongue cleaner. I have not used the foam yet but I like the tongue cleaner. It says it is to eliminate bad breath. I presently do not have bad breath but like that I can clean my tongue with it. Anyone use OraBrush before?

Does it work?

I found it at Walmart

SLV: do you have post nasal drip? if yes then you need to work on reduce your acid, you probably facing sinus problem, I would suggest to drink apple cidar vinegar atleast 3 time a day and notice any difference in 2 - 3 days. Another thing you can try is take antibiotcs like amoxicilin but this will dry you mouth out you have drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Smoking is the primary causal agent of bad breath. And also due to eating too much ginger can cause a bad breath.

Maybe the most useful way is quit smoking. If you do this, you can protect your body and prolong your life. And don't need to worry about the bad breath.

wow, I just realised I had an infection on my throat. For 2 years I believed it was halitophobia, but when I saw this forum, I understood that there was sth that caused this problem to me, so it wasn't just me :) So, then I took antibiotics. It worked in the beginning, but that feeling wasn't gone, so, then made the analysis again, and I had the infection again. I took stronger antibiotics, but now I can still see my throat is red... I don't understand... I will make the analysis again...

OMG before coming across these posts I really did think I was about the only one who has suffered in this way because of my breath. I have had this problem for over 45 years. At first the doctors tried to convince me it was all in my head. But I believe that was because they didn't know how to treat me. I know all about people walking away while covering their noses, offering me gum and candy, making comments about how terrible I smell. I know all about social rejection-even from my own family. I have had my teeth cleaned, my gums, my sinuses, my stomach pumped, I have taken every vitamin I read would help, brush my teeth, my gums, my tongue. I floss, etc. Honestly there is not anything I haven't tried. My gums were quartered and deep cleaned, I brush with peroxide, baking powder several times a day. I used to be upset, I would pray, now I just know I can't make friends like everyone else, kiss anyone, have intimate conversations, or otherwise have normal relationships like most people. I used to be an attractive woman, now I barely smile because that could lead to a conversation and then to someone covering their nose and stepping back.
For some reason I do remember something called Betaine HydrochlorideAcid w Pepsin working somewhat after several months and only after taking them by the fistful. If anyone know why they worked, please tell me?! The bottle says it assists w protein digestion. Don't quite understand this. I also eat no meat, eggs, chicken, pork, turkey. I eat mostly veggies and fruit.
Like I said, I thought I was the only one....thank you guys. Plz respond if possible.

Most people don't realize that their dentist can help them with bad breath problems. Bad breath can be a result of some type of mouth disease. Brushing your tongue after eating and every morning and night can help with bad breath. It's also important to eat the right foods as some foods can cause worse breath than others.

Maria - I have few suggestions for you. Use Betaine HydrochlorideAcid only if you think that your stomach is not producing much acid, otherwise condition could be worse than that because pepsin can stick in the throat and cause foul smell. Do you feel acid reflex after you eat the meal? or do you feel sometime that something is going back from your throat like sinus?. If you want to identify the cause of bad breath, you have to notice your throat very closely, if you feel your throat is dry and your mouth is dry this means your stomach is not producing enough acid causes acid reflex or irritation beneath throat which usually cannot be noticed easily. On the other side if you have sinus infection beacuse of excess of mucus in throat and your mouth producing too much sliva it means your stomach producing too much acid which creates sinus problems, keep flushing mucus, don't let mucus go down the throat, if mucus is very salty then this is another sign of bad breath that salty mucus contains bacteria's and fungus. You have kill bacteria's and fungus, drink apple cidar vinegar but not on empty stomach. Cashews nuts are also good to kill bacteria's.
Also you could take antibiotics if you don't have any alergic reactions.

If brushing alone can't solve the problem, you need to see your dentist, they know about it well enough.

Flagyl antibiotic is the only thing that has ever given me relief for the first time in well over a decade.
I don't even get morning breath when taking it.
I took one course a few months ago. Bad breath returned about 4 days after stopping.
Got some more yesterday. Took my first pill, and no bad breath today!

I wonder if I can take it forever?
