I never had such good oral hygiene as i do now and i never had such bad breath as i do now..its Ironic!
I heard starving can cause bad breath but...At work i am afraid to eat anything thinking it will build more bacteria in my mouth and cause bad breath...in case someone comes to my desk and i have to talk! Besides my lunch i dont eat anything...all i do is drink water at my desk but that doesnt help! I have started gargling with salt water day and night...it helps but still through out the day i end up havind bad breath...i run to the restroom to check and my saliva/lick stinks!! I was thinking to start gargling with hydrogen peroxide as mouthwash...any suggestions?

If you have bad breath,,you should check if you have any crowns that doesn't fit well ,,because bad crowns may trap food and is impossible and hard to clean,,check any ill fitting crown,, you should be able to clean the cervical part of your teeth,,whereas it is impossible if you have bad crown

Good post, but I still think that everything can be summarized in 2 things.
- Good oral hygiene
- health diet
well lets say 3 things.
avoiding substances and food that turn your breath bad...like garlic, cigarrets etc...

good oral hygiene you can learn here:

I suggest holding your breath if you're in uncomfortable situations. Also try drinking beer on a daily basis! it helps with your dragon breath! hahahaha

I don't smoke drink but my diet isn't good I did everything to come up with this but its the 3rd time I am having bad breath and the longest so far Its nearly completing a year. I brushed flossed my teeth several times a day used a water pik a tongue scrapper, went to see my local GP but they could not figure out and instead without checking my stomach acid levels told me to use Acid suppressing tablets I changed three dentists and each of them other than cleaning and filling the wisdom tooth did nothing to stop my bad breath. Now I have been told to get a stool sample and that also on my pushing after reading in the google that Halicobater pylori could be a culprit. Anyhow I am shy too going in public My business is suffering can't face the clients and can't socialise too. Somebody help me please

People just come here and complain and nobody is making any effort to help themselves;absolute rubbish.Safe yourselves this stress and start up a recovery plan:
1 If u have done everything in this world to your mouth, seen a dentist and he/she ruled out any dental problem and it still stinks, then the odor is definitely not coming from your mouth but down below:
1 Do h. Pylori breath test
2 Spend the money to see a GASTROENTEROLOGIST to evaluate your esophagus with endoscopy procedure. You might have candida there, acid reflux...... Erosive esophagus that can make breathe stink.
3 Do candida stool culture
4 if nothing is still found, see an ENT DOCTOR if you are suffering from sinusitis and always clearing your throat.
5 If you have reached this stage and it still stinks, then u have tried and when u complain, people like me will listen to u because I suffer embarrassment more than you.
If u have reached the ENT STAGE and nothing works, then your last hope definitely is to see a HOMEOPATH.find a classical homeopath around you and give he/she at least 6months.Homeopathy works.I have tried it before and it gave me fresh breath.

hi! i experience same thing. m planning to buy therabreath products...do u guys know if it's really effective?
I bought Therabreath products for years at $45 a month. When it didn't work I called the bad breath clinic in LA to make an appointment. I was told that if the products didn't work, they couldn't help me. They had no info about tonsil stones back then. I think my problem is tonsil stones. I used to clean them out during my teens, but now I can't see them any more. I'm looking for a good ENT because this problem is ruining my life and career. I'm a teacher.

Burt, your advice didn't work for me. I'm pretty sure my problem is tonsil stones. Check out the youtube video on tonsil stone removal. I used to do that in my teens. I'm now grandmother age and I suffer horribly though I can no longer see the stones. My research says you can have stones even if you can't see them.

Hello everyone eh eh eh! Im tired of this halitosis.I dont know how it started but i remember i was at grade 9 when i firstly realised about my halitosis. As a young boy growing up in a society, people used to gossip about me.This almost ruined the way i perfomed at school, but God is great in all times because i have passed well and im currently attending in a university.I try to live myself but i cant because it is visible enough that no one wants to get closer to me when i talk,if im closer to someone he/she will step back and cover the nose.Ive been having this halitosis for almost 7 years now and iam 22 years old.My life is a mess sometimes i wish i was never born. And by the way i dont even have money to even buy lesterine.I wish that when i finish my degree i could get a job so that i can get rid of it forever.I hate my breath more than the word hate. And i think i have tonsil stones because even now when iam writing this post i cant swallow saliva very well.Thnks for reading

My breath smells 24/7 literally! Oral hygiene does not help make it better. I brush floss scrape...gargle with salt water n baking soda! Drink a lot of water cannot figure out the problem. No matter what I have that same smell every after I came home from work, I put a cotton ball all the way back of my throat...n smelled..yuck it smells like anus?
And usually my breath smells foul..I lick my hand to check!

You won't believe but even gum doesn't help! When having a convi with my friend...her breath does not smell even after she throws a gum out but I have to pop one right after I throw one because I know it wil, stink, well regardless it doesn't smell any better!

I did every possible test...went to ENT he gave antibiotics..sayin I have rhinosinussitis ...I did endoscopy colonoscopy and upper GI series...

I have ruled out pretty much everything and I give up.. I am so hopeless! I am in a long distance relationship but I can't imagine how it will be when we eventually start living together.! Right now somehow I try to cover it with gum mints breath mist n what not!

I know so many people who can talk freely right after eating without even drinking water but me...no way my breath even stinks right after brushing n scraping flossing.

While having dinner...people enjoy n talk about stuff....n even after dinner .. I would never be able to do that in life...i dont know if i can live with this!!

Use acidophilus. You can buy a liquid firm or take pills. It cleans you from the inside out and helps with Ph balance. It's a natural remedy and works miracles.

Hi Michelle, it is true that tonsil stones cause bad breath. I had them before. The causes are not to clear, but I related mine to drinking too much milk. What I tried to say on the previous post was that a lot of the times people are unaware of how their gum and dental problems relate to their bad breath. But of course there are many other causes.

Hi Diana. I imagine it is a awful situation to be in. Brushing and flossing are not supposed to get rid of bad breath immediately. If your gums bleed or if you have cavities, you might also have bad breath. But again, there are millions of things that could cause. Michelle reminded me that tonsil stones cause a really stinky that, from own experience, resembles your description. Watch the video she recommended. and good luck!
