When you go outside Utica for an objective opinion and one that has an impact on how much it costs the city(taxpayers) to borrow money, this is what you get.
"Fitch Affirms Utica, NY's GOs at 'BBB'; Outlook Negative"
Looking at the definition of a 'BBB' bond rating you find that Utica is one step above "junk bond" status.
" 'AAA' and 'AA'(high credit quality) and 'A' and 'BBB'(medium credit quality) are considered investment grade. Credit ratings for bonds below these designations ('BB','B','CCC', etc.) are considered low credit quality, and are commonly referred to as "junk bonds"."
Next time the mayor or anyone tries to say Utica is on the upswing, remember what you just read.

Oh and the creepy-looking and phony slob Rob Palmieri says they have a "surplus"!!!
Hmmm yet he was too cowardly to ever address the tax hike the Longo lawsuit payout will cost them!
This is what I mean about the hog & phony show. They're so desperate to plug the leaks, and keep up the laughable appearances they literally won't even talk about the real problems in media. That's your FIRST sign of people with more dirt to hide.
