Just watched Wright's speech and question answering session this morning at the Press Club. Needless to say, he didn't impress me with his talk by trying to say the ones who "attack" him are attacking the church when he is the cause of it all.
As I watched, he seemed to be the slick talking con artist who would pick your pocket and get you to laugh about it. Definitely not an asset for Obama. |

Yeah, he's a shyster alright, and he displays many of the qualities of a crooked politician. He said Obama was the politician, but, it appears they've exchanged roles for the sole purpose of damage control. LOL! |

1 Thank you, Stone! Moondance's efforts to portray any and all white people, other than herself, as bigots and racists, are shameless and borne out of uncontrolled anger. We just need to show her a little love. |
I agree - it is not looking good for Obama. And I am laughing my a$$ off 'cause all this is so funny. Imagine if Hillary gets the nomination 'cause of this Wright nonsense. And goes down in flames in the general once McCain starts walloping her... Hoo Boy!! |

Since this thread seems to be taking the direction of Obama discussion, I received the following in an email this morning. CAMPAIGN WATCH
“Hillary Clinton is not Barack Obama’s problem. America is Mr. Obama’s problem. He has been tagged as a snooty lefty, as the glamorous, ambivalent candidate from Men’s Vogue, the candidate who loves America because of the great progress it has made in terms of racial fairness. Fine, good. But has he ever gotten misty-eyed over ... the Wright Brothers and what kind of country allowed them to go off on their own and change everything? How about D-Day, or George Washington, or Henry Ford, or the losers and brigands who flocked to Sutter’s Mill, who pushed their way west because there was gold in them thar hills? There’s gold in that history. John McCain carries it in his bones. Mr. McCain learned it in school, in the Naval Academy, and, literally, at grandpa’s knee. Mrs. Clinton learned at least its importance in her long slog through Arkansas, circa 1977-92. Mr. Obama? What does he think about all that history? Which is another way of saying: What does he think of America? That’s why people talk about the flag pin absent from the lapel. They wonder if it means something. Not that the presence of the pin proves love of country any cynic can wear a pin, and many cynics do. But what about Obama and America? Who would have taught him to love it, and what did he learn was loveable, and what does he think about it all?”—Peggy Noonan |

And then right below that was: POLITICAL FUTURES
“Take [William] Ayers. Obama makes it sound as if the relationship consists of having run into each other at the DMV. In fact, Obama’s political career was launched in a 1995 meeting at Ayers’ home. Obama’s own campaign says that they maintain ‘friendly’ relations. Obama’s defense is that he was 8 when Ayers and his Weather Underground comrades were planting bombs at the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and other buildings. True. But Obama was 40 when Ayers said publicly that he doesn’t regret setting bombs. Indeed, he said,‘I feel we didn’t do enough.’ Would you maintain friendly relations with an unrepentant terrorist?... As people begin to learn about this just-arrived pretender, the magic dissipates. He spent six weeks in Pennsylvania. Outspent Hillary more than two to one. Ran close to 10,000 television ads—spending more than anyone in any race in the history of the state—and lost by 10 points. And not because he insufficiently demagogued NAFTA or the other ‘issues.’ It was because of those ‘distractions’—i.e., the things that most reveal character and core beliefs.”—Charles Krauthammer |

Obama Distorted Rev. Wright's Background
Monday, April 28, 2008 9:39 AM By: Ronald Kessler In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Barack Obama again fabricated the background of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to try to excuse his longtime pastor’s denunciations of America and of whites. Referring to racial discrimination, violence, and segregation, Obama said Wright “went through experiences that I never went through.”---- http://www.newsmax.com/kessler/obama_wright/2... |

I agree. One thing i want to make clear is that I'm posting this stuff so that folks can make an informed decision. I don't like McCain but the problem for me is that I like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama even less. That article with Obamanation in it's title shows more than anyone should need to know about Obama. |

Yeah, that's old news. LOL! That occurred about three or four months ago. Where have you been, Moondance? And, it was all on a voluntary basis. |

I have become sick of the race card. I think this is what threw me over the edge. In this age of rising gas prices, difficulty meeting the mortgage, our sons and daughters fighting overseas, drugs everywhere. This total jerk comes out seeking fame. No, I do not curse, and that sounds very lame, but coming from me is the worst insult I can give. He is all about himself, and frankly Obama would probably be elected if he got on national tv and told what a jerk this man is. You can almost see Wright saying next "What about Me?" What about Me? He is just all about himself. What a total jerk. Black or white, this non prejudiced white woman thinks he should be hung for treason. I just ask that the citizens separate this screwball from Obama..Wright will probably bring out the Kool Aid next. He reminds me of Jim Jones except Jim Jones was white and hated and mistrusted the US.

1 Hung for treason? This is the United States of America, where free speech is guaranteed. You may not like what he says, but thankfully he and you have the right to say whatever you want. |
Why don't you feel the same way about David Duke? RRRRRRRROFLMAO |

If not treason, maybe a charge of sedition should be sought for this hatemongering preacher, so-called. His hate speech from the pulpit could easily incite rebellion or civil disorder against our government. The man is an extreme fanatic and should be placed under constant surveillance by the FBI. |
