I can NOT believe that there are not thousands of complaints against DOW over this Dioxin poisoning of the Great Lakes.

There was a saying in Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" that it is harder for "A man to face the truth when his paycheck depended on him NOT facing the truth" or something like that.

WHAT good is a contract with DOW if your children are all going to die because of exposure, or the lakes die? Think in decades rather than week to week. I know it is hard, I live paycheck to paycheck. But where does it end? Hold DOW accountable and your politicians . Force the politicians to hold DOW accountable and clean up before you find out you live in a "cancer cluster". Dioxin is a proven cancer agent. It dismays me that this article did not cause more debate among IL voters. So sad. I guess we WILL end up with a dead planet. As long as it doesn't happen during "my retirement" , or "my paycheck" or "my vacation plans" etc.. America is responsible for over 30 percent of WORLD pollution. Billions of people in the other countries don't do as much damage as America does each year. Disgusting. I urge any of you with doubts to watch "An Inconvenient Truth" and then make a decision. If you love your gand kids, you might want to wake up.

To add insult to injury, a 750 MW Dynegy/LS coal plant is planned to be built on the Tittabawassee River in Midland just upstream of Superfund cleanup sites. This and the Saginaw rivers have some of the highest concentration on dioxin ever found in the US.because of Dow. The Dynegy plant will dump millions of gallons of waste water daily into the Tittabawassee River about 20 to 25 degrees higher than normal river water. It has not been assessed if the higher water temperatures from this plant will cause further release of dioxin and other pollutants stored in the river.

Hey GaDove,

Why don't you spend you hard earned money on something a little less wastefull then Al's half truths book; I'm sure he won't be to upset jetting around in a private Gulfstream?

By the way, we have pleanty of people that live well into their 80's, 90's and beyond.
