I sit here reading some of your remarks and they are so insensitive! I am totally appauled. As a 100% blind guy I feel it is very important to accomodate us in every aspect. I am currently suing any makers of tele"vision" and their so called tele"vision" programs because I cannot watch them. Do you think this is fair?? Also I think it's a conspiracy to keep the blind man down by not giving me a driver license. My deaf neighbor got his. Do you know what it's like hearing him rub it in that he's going for a drive. He always tells me he'd invite me but he's taking a scenic drive and I probably wouldn't get it. What is that? Well at least I think thats what he says, he usually sounds a bit like Chewbecca which really freaks out my seeing eye dog Charlie. Charlie runs and hides and I have to use my seeing eye cat to find him. It is not easy training a cat to find a dog for a blind guy let me tell you. Well anyways I gotta bail or should I say braile.

If I were blind I think finding a one dollar bill in my wallet would be low on my list of issues. I mean how do you find what you want to buy in the first place? Can you tell a box of cheerios from a box of corn flakes? If someone is there to help let them find the dollar bill as well.
I don't envy the situation...it is a scary thing to think about

In a perfect world with honest people maybe the cause wouldn't be as great. But the point of the article is how does a blind person know that they gave the correct money and received the correct change? As we all know there are way too many people that would take advantage of the situation and not give a crap.
You all sighted people now go count your pennies and make sure the tax man didn't take one.

Dear Greta-- I certainly hope the deep seated envy you project does not eat you up.
Perhaps it would help your situation if you became a volunteer shopper for the blind. You could then make choices for them, bring them to and from, count their change, and go home feeling oh so righteous.
If you're really hard up for something to do, maybe you could go down to 10 Main and give the Bluster Boy a hand with his scratch tickets.

The aspersions I cast are that you and a couple others are so worried that the gov't might take a penny or two from your coffee can of hidden cash to help the blind try to lead a more normal life. How ironic that you are against me COMPELLING you to take care of me, yet your solution to the blind is to go find some to take care of you and leave your penny stash alone. Have you checked the sofa for spare change after the company left?

I don't envy you in the least, pity is more appropriate.

The solution is simple. First, the size of the bill remains the same. Nothing in the paper production changes. At the B.O.P.& E., after the sheet is printed it can be sent to sheeter sized (machine) that "prints" holes in braile for each denomination. This can be done in one corner of the bill, hardly noticiable and will work in change machines. In case you missed my joke:
A Weston Pond Mud Duck walked into a plastic surgeons office. The surprised Dr.asked," What can I do for you?" The Duck said," I want to change my Bill". The Dr shook his head,"Where did you get that idea?" "Hillary", quacked the Duck.

Is everyone here oblivious to this being a ploy to make RFID chips in money more acceptable?
Said chips will make possible the tracking of money and purchases by all of us.
