He's definitely not the first worthless drunk Kluge has defended. I hope they throw the book at him!(But they won't, since he's a cop.)

It is another case like the 2 speeding policemen that got a slap on the wrist for doing what they arrest people for. For some reason the law is different when your a cop. I admit cops are just like any other person and makes mistakes ... but come on drinking and driving. He should have known better.

I think I remember reading that one of the speeding policemen was off work due to a disability when the episode transpired. He was too incapacitated to work but not to ride his motorcycle 150 mph. He got a ticket a week later and only after the event became publicized.

Your not convicted when you refuse to take a test. when you get your license, you agree to take it. if you dont wanna take it, dont get a drivers license one of the two speeding officers were fired from their job, so i would hardly say that is a slap on the wrist

Write the governor. The State Patrol needs to be disassembled to balance the budget. This is the largest group of government backed criminals in Ohio besides Acorn. The judge will give this trooper driving privileges for work and the union will make sure he keeps his job. The patrol will transfer him and the public will be paying the extra fuel for him to drive to his new job site. This needs to stop.

Didn't Ben Marrison write an article recently regarding the Ohio State highway patrol, and how they were the leading law enforcement agency in Ohio, the agency which stood as the watermark for all others to set their standards. The premier agency, leading the way in law enforcement into this century??? The best, the cream of the crop! What say you Mr. Marrison???????

Before the blood letting starts why not wait & see what the disposition is.I think perhaps a Trooper deserves the same treatment as any one else. I would like to know the little things like facts of the arrest before the hanging. What were the test results if any. What type of alcohol test was given etc. Just the same things that anyone is entitled. All you OSP haters should do a comparison of arrests occurring in other agecies. You might be surprised.

Gerald Gibson a state trooper charged with DUI. What is going on in the State Patrol? Why are all of these troopers violating the very laws they took an oath to uphold? Since it is apparent that the governor nor the commander have control over the troopers, it is time to disassemble the patrol to balance the budget. There was a time when the state patrol was an elite, highly respected, nationally recognized force. They have become a joke. Their members are driving 147mph in Licking county, 98mph in Fairfield county, 97mph in Franklin county, drinking and driving in Allen county...all under Governor Strickland's watch. It is time to take action. Call or write the governor.

Interesting indeed. Instead of waiting for the facts, lets not give the OSP any slack. The organization that you defend is horrendously racist and has lost several high-level racial profiling cases in NW Oho. But just watch as the white paint comes out and the whitewashing begins, led in part by the highest-level coverup in news known as The Columbus Dispatch. Label me an OSP hater??: I beg to differ as I pay taxes in this state and then have the OSP use my money to racially profile me. Next time the OSP racially profiles me, I intend to CRIMINALLY profile them right back. Racial profiling is as bad or worse than drunk driving and the OSP should stop.

There's somewhere in the ballpark of 1500 Troopers in the State of Ohio. If I were a betting man, I'd say that pound for pound, if you'd compare OSP to Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, you'd find that OSP's disciplinary problems are far fewer than those of departments similar in size. It just so happened that all of OSP's disciplinary problems seemed to start happening over the course of the last 18-20 months or so.

Just my point, there is no comparison with OSP and local law enforcement. Marrison brought them to this level of greatness, in contrast to the work of local law enforcement, the two could not be furhter apart from one another. OSP= no citizen interaction in domestic matters or citizens disputes, misdemeanor activity outside of the ORC traffic code. Very little criminal investigations. They are the force to conduct traffic and commerce regulation. In no way is this like the duties of your local law dog. NONETHELESS, this is just a man, to be treated no different than anyone else!!!
