We don't have cable out where we live. When we moved out here we were going to get Dish Network but we just never got around to it. We found that our old indoor antenna worked just fine. When everything went digital, we just added a converter box to it. We don't watch much on TV, we get all the broadcast stations and PBS, what more could we want? I don't let the kids watch much. When they were little, they watched a lot of Sesame Street and the other PBS kids shows. They are older now, they would rather be out horseback riding or reading. They have a lot of homework, but they get really good grades. Just turn off the TV and read a good book or listen to music. There is nothing good on TV anymore.

I spoke with a freind who works for comcast. If your not a person with them now in a package plane you will get the new rates they will have.Second I have their internet the only one I can get where I live.It was nice tell they made all the changes they did dont work as well I think for the money Im paying but have no choice because I need it.I have directv now for NFL package but do you all know comcast is getting the contract for it next year.Im going to go where I can save money.Right now my phone is 54 a month internet is 65 and directv is running me about 159 because we have the NFL package on it. and for those three with comcast I can get it for 110 and now Im paying 278 I can save 168 bucks but I have to have my NFL so I cant bitch one bit.If you have comcast now you dont have to worry about price changing it only if your a new to comcast you will pay the higher rates.

I do not use comcast, have the digital box which is worse (for the most part) then anolog antennae service was. Not sure about Digital Path or if you are looking at Voip service, if you are, check out OOMA, you do need a seperate internet provider.

It's bad enough that those ass clowns are charging an arm and a leg for services as it is. But to increase charges for services when Comcast are not rendering quality services in the first place?!! Comcast is already expensive!! They have the audacity to increase services when in any given second there's a problem with the internet, the cable and the main line telephone services. And Comcast service problems is not just a an occasional thing, but anywheres from 2 to 4 times a month on average. Comcast must be out of their damn minds, talking about increasing service charges! Please! And don't let me get on the subject of those idiot service representatives!!

I really get a chuckle over all the guys who define their masculinity by watching other men play sports on television. Always seemed like a bunch of latent homosexual behavior to me. Especially all that UFC nonsense. Same thing with hard/classic rock. Just really seems gay beyond belief.

I will admit to watching a little girls beach volleyball. Sue me.

Well, CKK, I wouldn't associate sex and sports my self, but to each his own. Avoid watching UFC if it makes you feel gay...it is OK for you to be gay though, you know.

The City will do nothing because the City has awarded the "franchise" to the provider.......and they get a kick back in the process. Look at your bill and you will see government(s) charges.
That is the newest way for government(s) to create income without actually raising taxes themselves.......... the consequence is much higher rates for consumers and in addition, the City will also allow "other" rate hikes by the provider.

All of your utility bills now include government(s)
"regulatory"(lol) fees. Welcome to Californication.

The association between the utility companies and the government(s) is run just like any old mafia "protection racket".
There is payolla to the government(they call them regulatory fees), the utility receives a near perfect monopoly(protection), and their protectors have guns.
The difference?
These protectors have the full force and effect of the law.....it is all legal.
