The jury finding should have been 1/2 of the highest 5 years profit to the defendant and the other half to the lawyer. That's punishment.

Merck has already agreed to set aside a lot of money to settle Fosamax lawsuits. While it may sound great to those plaintiffs, they still should expect a stiff competition by company lawyers. http://www.rotlaw.com/fosamax/

This ruling is just sad. For the many who've obviously suffered from supposedly taking Fosamax for a long time this one woman could have benefited to pay for her health bills instead of facing more legal battles ahead for her. http://www.fosamaxclassactionlawsuit.com/comp...
MERCK MAIMS KILLS

Merck has maimed and killed at unpresedented levels unless you include them in crimes against humanity. Why they are viewed as a company with unfortunate product issues is mind boggling given their history. VIOXX killed between 55,000 and 250,000 but MERCK owners were never charged criminally. WHY NOT??? Why do they get to kill, maim and experiment on consumers and not be labelled criminals and murderers?
