It's really interesting that consumers are not able to realize that diet and exercise will do the trick. This pill is just another "fad" in the market, do you remember Trimspa?

I miss phen -fen. Waiting for Acomplia. Do not think I will try Alli. I have bad back due to a car accident and con not walk without pain. Don't drink, smoke or over eat. Like those commercials - I have not had bread in two years and my husband lost 20lbs. It's all in the genes folks. If you have never had a problem with weight loss - SHUT UP.

Problem is people don't exercise like they should. There is no silver bullet and this certainly isn't either. If people would put the time into exercising properly as the number one priority and diet second they would lose the weight. You have got to burn the calories and build muscle mass to acomplish the results. Americans no longer have that work ethic and tenacity to stay with doing the right thing. It is always easier to just take a pill and see if it works. Good luck.

Considering Walgreens is repeatedly listed in the article, their prices need to be reflected properly. It is the 60 pill starter kit that is $50. The 90 pill starter kit is $60.

It basically can cause a medical condition called Steatorrhea. Many other problems can erupt with this pill because if you are not absorbing fats, then you are not going to absorbe the fat soluble vitamins.... mainly A, D, E, and K.

After reading all of the warnings for the treatment effects, I was a little afraid to begin taking it. But, I did anyway. I followed the recommendation of beginning the regimen on Friday night, in case the treatment effects were excessive. To my surprise, I had very little treatment effects; only minor cramping in the morning. What's really awesome about this plan is that Glaxo gives you access to the MyAlli website, which contains everything you need to help you along on your diet. I would pay the $60 per month just for access to this website. I have been following their meal plans, which are simple to make, though expensive to stock up on all of the ingredients. The food is delicious, and I get to eat 1800 calories per day! So far, I haven't felt deprived.

After reading all the information which by the way was informative I feel very conforable taking Ali. I have had no severe side affects but yes you will be in the bathroom if you gorge and eat over 15 grams at each setting. I've tired all the other ones (Hydroxy Cut and numerous others) and again I feel very comforable with Ali. With being a 40 year old female we all know with age that the pounds are harder to take off. I also have fibromyalsia and even though I am exercising everyday because of my medical I was very happy to find something where I wasn't sweating and jittery. You have to exercise as with any diet pills or even without a diet pill to see results.

I just bought the starter kit and I am planning on starting this Friday night as they suggested. So how long have you been using it? I take kickboxing every Monday night for an hr. I walk 2 miles at least 3 times a week and I try to bike on Sunday for about 30-45 min. I am 39 and I have two kids. I use to be 120 before having kids now I can not get this weight off. I'm hoping this pill can re-set my mind. I use to be very strict on what I ate. Plus I smoked and I do not do that anymore.

One thing we do every Friday is eat pizza. I guess as long as I stay within 15 gms of fat I should be ok. I guess for thin slice cheese pizza that would be 2 slices only.

Thanks for any and all input. I'll let you know how I do after starting this pill this Friday.

I forgot to add that I also do strenthening excerises. I watch what I eat; however, I do splurge on hard candy or sugar gum sometimes. My main food that I will have to give up is ice cream in the evening. I do not eat it every evening. I guess I'll get fat-free. I hope this pill aides in all my efforts that I already am doing.

This is a real drug that does everything the make says it will - it's not a celebrity endorsed non-FDA product like Trimspa. Diet + Exercise + Alli = more weight loss than Diet + Exercise. Do the math !

I have been on Alli for 6 days and I have not experienced any "treatment effects". I follow the directions: low fat meals. If I go over 15 grams of fat at one meal I may experience the "treatment effects, but knowing that could happen helps me make better choices. So far so good.

I've been taking the pill for about one week without any or little treatment effects. I am noticing that the color of my stool has gotten much lighter Is that normal or is it something I should get looked into by my doctor.
I think the treatment effects are for when you eat too much fatty foods. But like I and you are discovering if you stick with a low fat diet this pill just complements the wieght loss plan.

Hi! I'm not a doctor by any means but I don't think I would worry too much about lighter BM. Dark, black ones are a concern. Call your doctor just to ease your mind. I haven't really noticed that since starting the pill. I am doing well on it. No weight lose yet but I do a lot of cycling and walking. My husband and I went out to eat Friday night and I ate spinach/chicken qusadillas and chicken nachos a long with taking Alli. The only experience I recieved from eating too much fat was a loose BM, nothing big. Good luck to you.

Alli is working well for me. I need to lose about 25 lbs. In 3 weeks I have lost 7 lbs with Alli and a reduced fat diet + a little extra exercise. I am making better choices with all my meals - I never realized how much fat was in several foods !

GSK sure looks evil - but I believe they are just becoming the poster-child for the fact that ALL drugs are not perfect. There are problems with the FDA Drug Approval process - God knows I am not smart enough to figure it out. But I am smart enough to know that the Drug Companies follow the rules that the FDA sets forth and COULD NEVER/and WOULD NEVER pass a truly unsafe drug to the public. Unfortunately, much of the safety problems with drugs are the fault of overworked doctors who can't monitor everything with all their patients.

I just read through the label and info on Alli on the website myalli.com . I was amazed to see the "honesty" - treatment effects (ie poopy pants) were mentioned directly and clearly. I applaud GSK for being honest

Dear God,

A little judgemental aren't we? A little prone to broad statements too? And, oh... so good at stereotyping.

Congratulations Your Perfectness.
