Nah. They will just close the doors to the theme parks. August IV didnt like them, anyway; so it is rumored. What about my seasons pass?

It'll be the iatoola of fermented wheat and barley beverage. |

Wow - never thought this would happen. There goes Busch Gardens. Who buys it? Better hope someone like the folks who own Cedar Point, a good outfit not owners who will let the place get rundown and start hosting ghetto rap shows or something. I mean, you never know. Before you know it, you will see Ludacris or some other fool at BG.

Come on guys. Lets combine our funds and buy the place. I bet with a few thousand down, they would finance the rest. We could have our own city, elect stupid people to run it and spend everyone elses money. Now that's theme park.

It's not like they can pack it up and move it from it's location it simply suggested that it's going to be sold off in an attemp to make money to offset the purchase of Anheuser-Busch. Maybe Harrahs will purchase Busch Gardens and Kingsmills.

Charlie! re: your previous post - you are absolutely the man! It's an unfortunate "tribute" to A-Busch that the first thing that crossed my mind when viewing this story is that maybe now we can get a decent beer at Busch Gardens instead of the overpriced drool they're pedalling now.

I agree Pinky, the park would be sold to offset the cost. I suspect the original offer did not include Bush Gardens as it is technically a different corporation. I think AB tried to package the deal and IB could not afford the entire package so the solution is to cut the "non core" components out of the picture, which means no more theme park. A solution to keeping the park could be a government subsidy to make BG public property run by the parks and recreation dept. But something this grand has never been done.

Ewwww, Sean...say it isnt so!!! BG as a public property would be horrible!

Yeah, sad day indeed. Inbev's Labatt's division has a small but high profile office in Buffalo, Labatt's US headquarters. Some of those people will lose their jobs now. Something the Buffalo area can ill afford. Others will be given the opportunity to move to St. Louis. It's really a shame because the Buffalo area, Buffalo sports teams have really wrapped themselves around the Labatt's label. And now because of this takeover, they will be gone.
