Guinness brewing ops being consoldiated in Irleand

Diageo PLC said Friday it will close two Irish breweries, reduce operations at a third facility and cut its staff in the country by more than half as it consolidates Guinness brewing operations in Ireland.

can't say I'm surprised since i predicted that something like this would happen. I can see it going a step farther and having the brewing aspect of St James Gate completly moved to the suburbs and the only thing left there would be the Guinness Storehouse Museum and Gravity Bar. So a trip to that would be like a trip to the Old Jameson Distillery where you don't get to see them make whiskey, you just get to see where they used to make whiskey.
